Yeah this distance sucks!!
But efforts are sweet as all of these worked for me..
1. A quick video call every day, even for just 10 seconds, helped maintain a connection. We didn't always manage it, but having it as a goal made all the difference.
2. Keeping each other updated with simple texts about our whereabouts made us feel involved in each other's lives, even from miles away.
3. We never delayed resolving fights. Breaking down our feelings into points helped us communicate more effectively and strengthened our relationship.
4. Playing iMessage games during our commutes kept us connected in a fun way, even when our schedules were different.
5. We planned weekly virtual date nights, whether it was watching a movie or playing games together on video call, to keep the romance alive.
6. On special occasions, we dressed up and had surprise Zoom dinners where we ordered food for each other, making the moment feel festive despite the distance.
7. We always made big decisions together, which kept us focused on our shared future.
8. Knowing when we'll see each other next by always having the next trip planned gave us something to look forward to.
9. Over time, we've learned to understand each other's emotions just by hearing the tone of voice - a special skill that distance helped develop.
10. Conflict resolution in an LDR has forced us to express ourselves better and grow individually, making the relationship stronger and more rewarding.
