Ever since Hana had seen Taehyung in the hallway, she hadn’t stopped asking Dr. Jeon to take her to meet him for an autograph. Every time Jungkook came by for her check-up, her eyes would light up as she reminded him of her wish, and he couldn’t help but feel amused by her persistence.
Initially, Jungkook wasn’t sure how to handle her request. As a doctor, he preferred to keep things professional, and getting involved with his patient’s fascination with a celebrity wasn’t exactly in the job description. But Hana’s wide, hopeful eyes made it difficult for him to say no outright.
After her latest check-up, she looked up at him with that same pleading expression. “Please, Dr. Kookie? Just one autograph?”
Jungkook sighed, giving her a gentle smile. “Alright, Hana. If you keep up with your physical therapy and continue being a good girl, I’ll see what I can do about that autograph. But only if you promise to listen to Nurse Minji and follow all her instructions.”
Hana’s face lit up with excitement, and she gave him an enthusiastic nod. “I promise, Dr. Kookie! I’ll be extra good!”
Jungkook chuckled softly, patting her on the head. “Then we’ll see. Just keep working hard, alright?”
As he left her room, he found himself thinking about how he might approach Taehyung with Hana’s request. The actor seemed somewhat interested in him, though he couldn’t quite understand why. Maybe this would be a way to finally break the ice, even if it was on behalf of his young patient.

Here Taehyung was feeling unusually restless. Yesterday, he hadn’t caught even a glimpse of Dr. Jeon, and it was bothering him more than he wanted to admit. He’d spent half the night tossing and turning, wondering why Dr. Jeon hadn’t stopped by for his usual check-up yesterday. The absence had left him on edge, and now he found himself constantly glancing at the door, hoping to see Jungkook’s familiar, serious face walk through.
When the nurse came by to check his vitals, Taehyung casually tried to ask, “So, is Dr. Jeon on his rounds today?”
The nurse gave him a polite but noncommittal smile, only saying, “I’m not sure, Mr. Kim. I’ll let you know if I see him around.”
Growing more impatient, Taehyung turned to Jackson. “Any word on Dr. Jeon? I haven’t seen him since yesterday, and it’s… just odd.”
Jackson raised an eyebrow, trying to suppress a smirk. “Seriously? You’re keeping tabs on the guy? Maybe he’s busy, Tae.”
Taehyung sighed, clearly annoyed. “He’s my doctor, Jackson. It’s only normal for me to be curious, right?”
Eventually, when Dr. Lee came in for her routine check on his leg, Taehyung finally let his frustration slip. “Dr. Lee, do you know where Dr. Jeon is? He didn’t come by yesterday, and I thought—well, it’s just strange.”
Dr. Lee paused, one eyebrow raised in mild amusement as she adjusted his charts."Dr. Jeon won’t be coming today, Taehyung. Don’t worry about it,” she said, as if his interest was just a passing whim.
But Taehyung did worry about it, though he didn’t know why. He missed their short, sometimes awkward interactions and the way Jungkook was never fazed by his celebrity status.
After a few moments of silence, Jackson noticed his friend’s fidgeting and sighed. “Look, he’s probably just on his day off. Doctors need breaks too, you know?”
“I get that,” Taehyung muttered, glancing towards the hallway as if Jungkook might walk by any second. “But he could’ve at least told me. I mean... we’re kind of on friendly terms now, right?”
