Writing each chapter has become more than just a libangan—it’s been a way to heal and express my emotions that are hard to put into words.
Medyo saklap lang, kasi I can’t enjoy my story the way you do hahaha.
I remember reading somewhere that one perk of being a writer is "you can decide how your story ends and the power to control the ending."
But I thought
"Yeah, but I can’t enjoy my own story when I already know how kung anong plot and how it ends."
As a reader myself, I get how an angst-filled story can stay with us, lingering in our minds and emotions for days. (AHHHHH FRESH PA RIN YONG KALINAW/FADING ECHOES/ KUNSYAMAN)
That’s why I try to be considerate of those who want a happier ending, I know the feeling.
And honestly, I’ve said this so many times, I know we’re all escaping reality when we read, to the point where these stories become part of our own reality.
Every reader adds their own feelings, their own past experiences, making each story feel personal and unique.
That’s the magic of storytelling, I guess it’s never just the writer’s story, it belongs to everyone who reads it.
Thank you for trusting me with your emotions and allowing my words to be part of your reality, even if only for a little while.
For many, a happy ending is a place of comfort, and I love that. But I also hope we can learn to find comfort in sad endings too.
As much as I’d like everything to end happily, the truth is, life has its share of pain.
I hope they still remind you of the beauty of every experience, even the hard ones.
