The atmosphere in the hospital was thick with tension and worry as the Pratap Singh family waited outside the ICU, their faces drawn with anxiety over Mishti's sudden health crisis. Veer, who usually kept his composure, was visibly struggling to hold back his tears, yet he stood strong, trying to be a pillar of support for everyone. He went around, gently urging family members to stay calm. "Sab sambhal jayega... please, don't lose hope," he said, though his own voice wavered with emotion.
Randhir, on the other hand, looked troubled, his mind racing for a solution. Then, an idea struck him. Without a word, he began to move away, heading down the corridor. Noticing this, Veer called out, "Randhir! Kahan jaa raha hai tu?" Randhir paused for a moment, glancing back at his brother with determination in his eyes, then continued walking. He had one person in mind who could help Mishti—Radhika, the cardiologist who had saved his life once before.
Reaching her office, he found Radhika sitting behind her desk, busy with paperwork. He hesitated briefly before stepping in. "Radhika... I need your help. Mishti... she's in critical condition, and I know you're the best cardiologist here. Please..." he stammered, his voice filled with desperation.
Radhika looked up, her expression hardening. "Tumhe jo bhi madad chahiye, I can't help you with that," she replied coldly. "Tumhari family ne mujhe bohot hurt kiya hai. Please chale jao, aur yahan aur bhi doctors hain. Go and help yourself." She averted her gaze, attempting to focus on her work, clearly hurt by the past.
But Randhir didn't give up. He took a step closer and, in a surprising gesture, knelt down before her, his voice barely a whisper, filled with raw emotion. "Please, Mishti ko tumhari zaroorat hai. Please... please." His vulnerability pierced through her defenses, and Radhika felt her heart soften. In that moment, she couldn't resist. She reached out and embraced him gently, letting him rest his head on her shoulder, offering a silent comfort.
Finally, Radhika agreed, and the two of them hurried to the ICU. As they entered, the entire Pratap Singh family turned in shock, unable to believe what they were seeing. Kaveri bua's face twisted with anger as she muttered, "Is ladki ko bilkul sharam nahi hai... phir aa gayi!"
But Veer, understanding the gravity of the situation, immediately intervened. "Bua ji, bas... Mishti ko iski zaroorat hai," he said firmly, standing by Randhir's decision.
Radhika, catching on to the tension, offered a calm but defiant smile. "Aur agar aapko itni hi problem hai, Mrs. Whatever-Your-Name-Is, toh you may leave," she added confidently, her gaze unwavering.
Kaveri's eyes widened at the remark, but before she could say anything, Randhir stepped in. "Randhir, tum toh..." she began, but he interrupted softly, "Khair rehne do. Abhi Mishti ko zaroorat hai," he said, his tone a mixture of relief and determination.
Radhika focused on Mishti's checkup, her professionalism taking over, but Randhir couldn't help watching her with a hint of admiration in his eyes. Though neither of them confessed their feelings, a quiet understanding passed between them—one that both hoped would one day blossom into something more.
The tension in the hospital waiting room was unbearable, the silence broken by Vijendra's angry voice as he shot a glare at Randhir. "Kyun le aaye tum usse yahan, Randhir?" he cursed, unable to contain his frustration. He seemed to hold Radhika's presence against Randhir, finding someone to blame amidst the worry over Mishti.
Nalini, too, was visibly distressed, her worry morphing into blame as she turned to Veer. "Aur tum, Veer! Tumhe kya zarurat thi usse party mein le jaane ki? Pata nahi kya kha liya usne wahan jo ye sab ho gaya... itna bada problem ho gaya."
