there suji was, holding a feather a few centimetres away from jaehyuns pale and sculpted nose, while his lips were slightly parted and his eyes were gently shut. his lashes fluttered slightly when she took a deep breath out, some of the air hitting his face.his hair was shelved on his forehead, messily falling onto the pillows and his face simultaneously. he had a pair of dark blue pyjamas on, which was peculiar in comparison to the hoodies that their friends adjourned.
she then lowered the feather so it would graze the tip of his nose back and forth, ticking his face enough to disrupt the poor boys sleep.
the boy began to stir, until one last flick of the feather was enough for him to wake up and rub his eyes. "leave me aloneee.." he dragged with a groan and a stretch. "i'm tired from practice." the young boy continued, removing his hands from over his eyes and seeing a quite unexpected view.
his eyes widened and he screamed. the boy flew off the couch and ran up to the white wall behind them, turning his back to the group and facing the wall with his head on top his hands.
"i'm seeing things! call an exorcist!" the boy yelped, making the boys around him double over in laughter. heojin was practically holding suji back from running over to the boy she missed so dearly and giving him a tight hug.
jaehyun turned around slowly, facing the group. suji stared at him impatiently, wanting to greet him and give him a tight hug. it had been far too long since she experienced a jaehyun hug. no one could ever give her a hug in the same way he did.
the two stared at each other with wide eyes and open mouthes before jaehyun spoke up. "ji?" he couldn't believe his eyes, and thought that they had deceived him when he saw a clear image of her as he woke up from his nap.
"myungjae!" she greeted her best friend and ran up to him before giving him a tight hug from the bottom of her heart. "i don't believe it." he spoke, hugging her back and nuzzling his head into the space between her neck and shoulder.
"im back.." she smiled into the hug, joyful about his warm hands wrapped around her back and waist. "god, i missed you." he whispered, still feeling like the moment that was happening was fake.
the two pulled away and looked at each others faces. "you look different," she faced him. his face had gotten paler, and his hair became a lighter shade of artificial brown.
"says you! why didn't you tell me you were coming!? how long are you staying for?!" he had a million questions in his head, but the only two that were able to come out were those.
"i wanted to surprise you guys. and uh, i'm staying forever. back for good." she sent him a small smile, and his face was then pulled into another giant grin. he showed off his million dollar pearly smile, before taking her into another hug.
"i can't believe you're back. i didn't think i would see you until you graduated." he whispered. "i wanted to come back." the words escaped her mouth.
"yeah, you say that, but you also were gone for 3 years!" he pushed her back from the hug gently and raised an eyebrow, placing his hands on his hips. the group laughed at the sight.
"i'm sorryyyyyyy!" she spoke with a grin. she knew that he wasn't mad at her, but she could tell that he wants necessarily happy either.

after a little longer of back and forth, the group ordered a few pizzas and sat around woonhaks table, asking questions and sharing laughs among themselves. she felt so complete.
the girl sat in between jaehyun and heojin. her eyes remained on taesan as he quietly munched on the food in front of him. he was so attractive, it pained her.
she wondered if he missed her. the other boys had on many occasions admitted that they had missed her, but he never said a word about missing her. rather, he would give her a short happy birthday message once a year and she would do the same back. he never had much to say to her.
the girl pressed her lips into a thin line at the thought. jaehyun noticed this. "i can't believe you're back." he repeated. "i can't believe im back either." she whispered.
"don't you guys have school in the morning?" suji chirped up, noticing that they had spent around 5 hours altogether at this point, and caught her up on some of the stuff she had missed.
"yeah." taesan nodded, sparing her a short glance. "when are you coming to school, by the way?" sungho questioned. "in a few days. i'm still crazy jet lagged." she admitted.
"lucky. guess we're finally gonna see jo suji in uniform and studying," riwoo chuckled. "shush." she rolled her eyes.
the group continued like that for another 20 minutes, before waves of yawns hit them, and the unfortunate reminder that they needed to go to bed in order to wake up the next day set in.
the group said goodbye to one another, deciding that after school they would have another hangout scheduled so that the eight of them could spend some more time together.
