He looked too familiar, like i know him from somewhere, it's just couldn't put my finger on where but all i can comprehend from his attitude was that he was an absolute asshole. This is going to be a shitty job, I just knew it.

"So... now what?" I looked at the stack of papers on the table that Rei had guided me to.

"We have to track down a killer who is currently trending on every news site. He goes by the name of 'the tarot reader of death' so remember to do some homework before we start with the case." Reil replied with a look of disdain. Blond and blue eyed, a good 5'9, Rei had a perfectly shaved mustache. Probably mid thirties. Wearing an engagement ring. I should do more research on my 'new partners'.

"Alright."

"Good then, can we start the investigation the next night? Oh by the way, you're staying at the HQ. We need you on 24/7 call."

"Do you not bloody trust me?"

"No, we just know your history with unpunctuality." The entire time Casper was absolutely silent, looking at me with a judgmental stare. What's his bloody problem?

"Fine, give me an hour to pack up my essentials."

"Good, where do you live? Casper get the car." Another sigh escaped his lips, messy light brown hair and green-eyed, a good 6'1 and a sharp jawline. Casper was a good looking fella, that's for sure and i hated that part of me that felt a slight attraction to him or the slight flutter in my heart whenever he looked at me. He looked like an angel with a foul mouth. And what's with the lack of trust huh? I was never late, they were just too early.

After relocating to the HQ and putting my essentials away, I threw myself onto the nearest couch in the common room. My body was exhausted and I just wanted to sleep before I strangled the hell out of that pretty-boy named Casper. Why did he have to talk so damn much? He was much more bearable when he kept his mouth shut.
