After a week full of hectic conferences, Sara finally had the weekend come, and she got something she desperately needed-sleep.

Or so she thought.

For when Shubman barged into her room screaming like a banshee, her beauty sleep kissed her goodbye and her lashes fluttered, kissing her cheeks, forcing her eyes to open.

" Kaun mar gaya subah subah?" She muttered groggily, rubbing her eyes as Shubman danced, quite literally, danced in her bedroom, panic embracing him.

" The kitchen is on fire!" He blurted it out so fast that it took Sara a minute to comprehend it.

Sighing, she took off the duvet, flinging it aside and got off the bed, still half asleep, which was quite evident for she'd have embraced the ground had Shubman not been present to quickly put an arm around her waist and pull her up.

His gaze softened, momentarily forgetting the burning kitchen, which would probably lead to him burning down the house too, as he stared at her disheveled, yet pretty self.

With her hair let loose, falling over her shoulders, all messed up, a long t-shirt with loose sweatpants to go with it, he still found her ever so pulchritudinous.

His heart skipped a beat as her she peeked through her lashes, her body almost swaying as she pulled out of his hold and walked to the open kitchen.

Her gaze flickered towards tbe burning dosa on the pan and she lifted it up with ease and slid it into the sink, turning on the water hose and turning off the stove.

He heaved a sigh of relief and as his lips parted to speak, she'd already made her way out of the kitchen.

" I'm so sorry-" he began and she waved her hand dismissively as she walked back into her bedroom.

" It's fine." She murmured which sounded barely cohorent and dropped down on the bed, her face burying into the plush pillow and his lips curved upward in a small smile.

She was effortlessly stunning and adorable, and did she even have the slightest clue about it?

Her hair fell over her face, which Shubman was definite would end up disrupting her sleep for the second time, and so, he didn't realise when his feet betrayed him, walking over to her bed and leaning over to brush aside her hair.

But as he leaned down, he found himself lost, and mesmerised.

He sighed, an inaudible sigh escaping his lips as he brushed aside a loose strand of her hair, his fingers resting on her cheeks.

His heart unknowingly skipped another beat before it picked up pace, racing uncontrollably.

He didn't understand why.
