Seoyeon stepped out of the van, the cool night air brushing against her face as she made her way back to the dorms. Her phone buzzed with notifications from her fans, congratulating her on her web drama's wrap-up. Normally, she would scroll through each comment, sending silent gratitude to every fan for their support, but tonight something else caught her attention.
A video clip from TripleS Visionary Vision's latest performance had surfaced, and Yooyeon was trending. Piqued by curiosity, Seoyeon opened it. The clip showed Yooyeon in the final moments of the intense choreography for Visionary Vision. The routine was one of their hardest yet, filled with sharp movements and high energy-something that Yooyeon, usually calm and reserved, had mastered but only at a cost.
In the video, Seoyeon noticed Yooyeon struggling, her steps slightly offbeat, her body visibly tired. Near the end, Yooyeon stumbled, and Nien was quick to catch her, giving her a steadying hand. Seoyeon's heart clenched as she watched Yooyeon's exhausted face, her shoulders drooping in the final pose. When the performance ended and they gathered together to take group pictures, Sohyun had to help Yooyeon stand up, her body nearly buckling from fatigue.
Worry surged through Seoyeon. She knew Yooyeon had been under immense pressure lately. Being one of the most popular members, Yooyeon was frequently voted into various subunits by fans, and with the current promotions for Visionary Vision and intense training for the upcoming Japanese unit, Hatchi, Yooyeon had barely any time to rest. On top of that, as the face of TripleS, Yooyeon was present at nearly every event, smiling through the exhaustion, carrying the weight of her popularity and responsibility.
Once inside, Seoyeon made her way quickly down the hall, heading straight for Yooyeon's shared room. However, she remembered that Yooyeon was often asked to stay late for post-show recordings or fan meetings, so she might still be out. With a deep breath, Seoyeon pulled out her phone to check Yooyeon's last message, which said she'd be home soon. Seoyeon's eyes softened. She decided to wait for Yooyeon in her room, where she could have some privacy to take care of her girlfriend properly.
Just as she was about to settle down, she heard faint footsteps coming down the hallway. Peeking out of her room, she saw Yooyeon making her way toward her door, shoulders slouched, each step looking heavier than the last. Seoyeon quietly walked over, stopping just behind her.
"Yooyeon unnie," she called softly.
Yooyeon turned, surprised but visibly relieved to see Seoyeon. Her tired eyes sparkled, a soft smile spreading across her lips.
"Seoyeon," she breathed, sounding as if she'd been holding her exhaustion at bay until this very moment. Without another word, Seoyeon gently took her hand and led her into her single room. Yooyeon, too tired to protest, followed, grateful to be with someone who understood.
Once inside, Seoyeon guided Yooyeon to sit on the edge of the bed. She kneeled in front of her, carefully slipping off Yooyeon's shoes, and then helping her out of her jacket. Yooyeon looked down, her gaze softened by the tenderness in Seoyeon's every movement.
"You've been overworking yourself again," Seoyeon whispered, looking up at Yooyeon with a mix of worry and affection. "You don't have to carry everything alone, you know?"
Yooyeon tried to smile, but her exhaustion showed through. "I'm fine, really... just a bit tired," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
Seoyeon shook her head gently. "You don't have to pretend with me," she replied, her tone gentle yet firm. She stood up, wrapped her arms around Yooyeon, and pulled her close. Yooyeon let herself sink into the embrace, feeling the weight she'd been carrying slowly dissolve in Seoyeon's warmth.
