Oh, what could it be that keeps me up at night?
Could it be the countless worries that drift through my head?
Or perhaps the skeletons that lurk under my bed?
Oh, what could it be that haunts my sleep?
Could it be the memories that erode at my mind?
Or is it the sad truths that make my teeth grind?
Oh, what could it be that disrupts my rest?
Could it be the deafening scilence that only I can hear?
Or is it my true feelings that from my heart do peer?
Oh, so many things that cause a sleepless night.
Like the blinding light behind my eyelids
Or how the thought of tomorrows day happiness rids.
So many things that do weigh on my mind
In a state like this, sleep it never finds.
