we all woke up to the ' usual ' chaos of the house, but today felt different. the air was thick with tension from the night's drama, and i was still trying to wrap my head around everything that had gone down.the morning was dragging on, and i was sitting in the living room, just kind of zoning out, when i heard tays yell from down the hallway.
"you grassing bastard!"
i couldn't help but laugh a little, not sure what this was about, but knowing it was going to be interesting. i stood up and made my way to the kitchen, where tays was pacing back and forth, clearly pissed.
his voice echoed through the house as he kept shouting, "yo, michael's a snitching bastard! he just told her everything!"
the rest of the girls and i turned around, looking at each other in confusion. "who?" we asked in unison.
adeola, being the drama queen she was, raised an eyebrow and said, "didn't she see it?"
tays snapped his attention to her. "yeah, but he just went in there and spilled everything. no shame."
i couldn't resist teasing him, especially with the way he was acting. "that's what happens when you break the rules, tays," i said, giving him a playful look. "consequences."
scouse walked in just then, overhearing the drama. "nahhh, he didn't snitch, did he?" he asked, looking both confused and amused.
tays turned, his frustration still palpable. "i heard him with my eyes, bro! the first thing he said was, 'by the way, tays slept in my bed last night.'"
i burst out laughing at the dramatics. "i heard him with my eyes! good english, that," i teased, jokingly giving him a side-eye.
tays, never one to back down from a challenge, shot back, "you know, sometimes i wonder why i put up with you lot."
i couldn't stop laughing. "it's because you love the attention," i said, then turned back to the girls with a grin. "that's how it is when you're the center of attention. deal with it."
i made my way toward the kitchen to get a cup of tea and some noodles, needing to calm my nerves after all the chaos. as i was fiddling with the kettle, michael entered, looking sheepish as he tried to pull tays aside.
"come on, man," michael said in a quieter voice, trying to calm the situation. "you know it wasn't like that."
i couldn't resist, leaning into the moment. "don't let him gaslight you!" i called out, grinning wide.
america, who had been watching this unfold from the doorway, jumped in with a playful, "nah, michael, we all know. might as well just say it in front of us, you get it?"
i looked at tays, both of us exchanging a look, a silent understanding between us as we both tried to hold back laughs. we were about to get so used to the drama, it almost felt like a game.
tays nudged me lightly with his elbow, still grinning. "oh, i see, you're gonna go full drama queen on us, huh?"
i raised an eyebrow, half-smirking. "hey, i'm just here for the vibes. i'm just calling it as i see it."
before i knew it, michael started talking again, trying to downplay everything. "look, she knows about scouse, but then i said i was really tired, and yeah, someone might've slept in my bed, but i don't know who."
i gasped, pretending to be shocked. "who says that? 'i don't know who'? c'mon, michael. you've got to do better than that!"
tays was still laughing, shaking his head. "this guy, i swear," he said under his breath.
