Chapter Sixteen: War Games

After Ash's little outburst of power, the others looked at him with awe. The trainer woke up at 3 in the morning, ready for the day. For the first time in a while, he felt refreshed. His injuries seemed to have healed. That night, instead of a tent, Ash was outside under the stars.  He didn't know why, but it felt right.

Ash: Maybe the Night...healed me? No, that's crazy.  On the other hand, I have powers, so maybe common sense should be thrown out the window.

Ever since he got injured by Korrina's Grandfather, he refused to wear his normal clothes. They were all burnt up anyway, and he'd been wearing just a plain t shirt with jeans, nothing special. But now, something in Ash's mind was different.

A darkness was in Ash's brain, thoughts, powers, ideas. It was all swirling in there. Ash closed his eyes, feeling power. A dark cocoon wrapped around Ash. When it disappeared, his clothes were different, his body was different. He was taller, the whites in his eyes became black, his hair, once spiky on all sides, became flat on all ends. His once light brown skin became a darker brown.

He wore a pure white cloak, red outlines over it. His dagger even had a white hilt. He looked himself over, a confused expression. Excalibur looked him over, curious.   She floated around Ash.  She went in his bag and brought out a piece of paper, beginning to draw him.

Ash: What the hell?! This is certainly a look.

Excalibur: You look like a mage master. In a very nice-looking way.

Ash: Thank You.

Ash felt his senses were even sharper. He heard a Fletchling ten miles away, saw a Charziard flying towards Lumiose city with a man on top of it thousands of feet in the air. The trainer got to his daily routine. But this time, he ran 30 miles. He wasn't even that winded when he finished.

Ash: I feel. Weird!

???: ASH?!

Ash was looking over his body, his senses in overdrive. He didn't even turn around to her voice, knowing exactly who it was. Marnie was rubbing her eyes, walking outside her tent. She was wearing her normal outfit. She didn't have her signature black jacket, and her pink dress was green. Marnie's hair was in a ponytail. In fact, the only thing she had on was the green dress.

Ash: Mar, my senses are in overdrive. My injuries are gone, (Marnie gasps) I can see, hear, feel everything in a 20 mile radius. You're only wearing a green dress, with your hair in a ponytail. You look beautiful by the way.

Marnie: W-what?

Ash: It's....strange.

Lineskip:

Calem: Ash, your injuries...they're gone. And you look...different. A good difference.

Ash: I know, just roll with it.

Calem; As you wish my friend.

Ash: Alright, let's go. Firestorm your up.

Calem: Abosl.

Ash: Copycat.

Bonnie: Battle Begin! Kick his butt Ash!

Calem: Dark Pulse.

Ash: Psychic.

Calem: Has he gone mad? Psychics won't work. No, he has to have a plan.

Firestorm's eyes glowed pink, instead of the usual purple. Absol froze up, not able to take a single step.
