Don't want to face the truth: Chapter 2

All trolls started at Creek with disgust and hatred. Meanwhile, Poppy was feeling like she was about to faint. Creek was alive? And he was standing there in front of her? Poppy didn't feel hatred or disgust for Creek, more like fear. Branch noticed Poppy's fear in her eyes and got in the way to confront Creek.

Branch: "What are you doing here, you traitor?"

Creek: "Relax mate. I'm not here to harm you. I just need a word with your Queen." He said and pointed his eyes towards Poppy.

Branch: "Over my dead body."

Creek: "That can be settled."

Poppy: "Branch, it's ok."

Branch stepped aside and Creek looked at him with a smirk. Creek made his way through the crowd and got up to the big mushroom. He made some steps towards Poppy, while she was backing away in fear. King Peppy was holding his daughter's hand, while Creek took her other hand into his and kissed it.

Creek: "I just wanted to apologize for everything I've done to you all. I promise to make up for it, if you give me a chance, Poppy."

Poppy couldn't forgive him or wanted to. But as queen of trolls, she had to give him a chance to make up for everything. Because that's what trolls do. Forgive and give second chances.

Poppy: "I can't forgive you, Creek......But as queen of trolls, I have to give you a second chance. But if you try to do anything sneaky...."

Creek: "Of course not, Poppy. I promise." He answered in his British accent.

After Creek's sudden return, King Peppy didn't want to put even more pressure on Poppy, with his announcement, so he didn't mention it and asked DJ to continue playing her music. Poppy got off the big mushroom and found her way to the drink table. While Poppy was drinking a punch, Branch suddenly appeared next to her.

Branch: "Are you okay?"

After Poppy took a sip of her drink, she said: "No. What I'm gonna do Branch? I can't have Creek here. What if he causes trouble again? Then everyone will blame me for forgiving him."

Branch: "No one will blame you for that. Hey......🎶 You with the sad eyes.🎶......"

Once Poppy heard Branch singing this song again to her, she smiled at the ground and blushed. Branch didn't seem to notice it and continued his singing:
"🎶 Don't be discouraged.🎶"

Branch: "Don't worry. I won't let him hurt you again."

When Branch said that, Poppy's cheeks became even more red, while Branch's eyes widened in shock of what had just escaped his lips.

Branch: "I....I meant.....I won't let him come near you.......I.....I mean if you want to, of course."

Poppy: "Thank you Branch. That's really sweet."

Branch: "🎶 Just call me up, cause I will always be there.🎶"

After a while, the trolls were exhausted after all this dancing and partying and they returned to their pods. Creek went back to his old pod, which thankfully was far from Poppy's pod. Branch, Poppy, King Peppy and the snack pack stayed behind to clean up the mess. Eventually, King Peppy got tired and went to sleep. Poppy and Branch were exchanging some glances, while cleaning, something that didn't go unnoticed by the snack pack.

Guy Diamond: "I think it's time for bed."

Biggie: "Couldn't agree more."

DJ: "Yeah I'm super tired."

Smidge: "And I have to get up early."

Cooper: "Really, I'm not tired at all."

Biggie: "Yes you are."

Cooper: "No I'm not."

Guy Diamond: "You are, Cooper." He said while pointing his eyes towards the cute couple.

Cooper: "Oh you right. Yes I am pretty tired."

Smidge: "Sorry for leaving you guys alone."

Poppy: "No, Smidge you can go. We will take care of the rest."

Biggie: "Ok goodnight guys."

Poppy and Branch: "Goodnight." They said in unison and waved towards their friends. Branch was continuing cleaning up all the glitter and the confetti from the grass, while Poppy had laid her eyes on him and couldn't look away. And she didn't even know why.

Poppy: "What you said earlier........was really sweet of you. And I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate it."

Branch: "You don't have to thank me for it. I want to protect you from this phyco."

Poppy: "It's just that a few months ago, we weren't even friends and now......."

Branch: "I'm so protective of you?"

Poppy: "Yeah. Why?"

Branch: "Because the last time you ended up turning grey and believe me I know better than anyone that this is the worst thing that can happen to a troll. Especially you."

Poppy: "Oh Branch. I'm sorry for dragging you with me."

Branch: "You know our adventure was one of the best times of my life, even though I never admitted it."

Poppy: "Mine too. Especially the moment when you sang again."

Branch: "Will you ever stop teasing me about that?"

Poppy: "Nope."

Branch: "It's late. I should go."

Poppy: "Yeah yeah. I should go too."

Branch: "Are you sure that you can go alone. I can come along if you want..."

Poppy: "No, I'll be okay. You should go and rest."

Branch: "Ok."

Poppy: "Ok."

They were both staring at each other and an awkward silence filled the atmosphere.

Branch: "Goodnight."

Poppy: "Goodnight."

Branch finally took his eyes away from hers and turned around and started heading to his bunker. Meanwhile, Poppy was still standing there sweating like crazy.

Poppy: "Why am I sweating like that?"
