A car pulled up to a curb, and Jenna stepped out wearing a black suit and tie. The cool night air brushed against her face as she adjusted the collar of her jacket. She studied her reflection in the car window, a subtle frown playing at the corners of her mouth. The crisp black fabric of her suit felt foreign, the tie too tight around her neck. She wished she could be more at ease, but the setting felt almost surreal. As she tugged at her sleeve, she heard the soft click of heels approaching.

Y/N walked out of her building, dressed in a silky yellow gown. The fabric flowed like liquid gold, catching the light as she moved. Her hair cascaded in soft waves down her back, perfectly framing her face. She smiled as Jenna, who had just turned to face her, caught sight of her.

The sight of Y/N in the gown was almost enough to make Jenna forget everything else, the nerves, the anxiety, the uncertainty. Spinning slowly, Y/N revealed the plunging back of the dress, the silky material sweeping down her spine in a way that left Jenna momentarily breathless. Her heart skipped a beat, and she couldn't tear her eyes away. Jenna brought a hand to her chest as she stared, the words slipping from her lips before she could stop them.

'You're beautiful,' Jenna whispered, her voice low and filled with awe.

Y/N's eyes softened, and she took a step closer, her gaze locking with Jenna's. She reached up to adjust a stray lock of hair that had fallen over her face, her smile now tinged with something deeper, an affection, a warmth that only Jenna seemed to see.

Climbing the stairs, she handed Y/N a single white rose. The Y/H/C haired girl took it gently, her fingers brushing against Jenna's, sending a quick jolt of electricity through her skin.

'You look pretty good too, Sparky.' Y/N teased, her grin playful, though there was a spark of something else in her eyes. She looked absolutely stunning, and Jenna couldn't help but feel a sense of pride to be standing next to her.

She took Jenna's hand, and she linked Y/N's arm in hers as they headed on. It was a simple gesture, yet it grounded Jenna. They moved toward the entrance together, their steps in sync.

Statues flanked the carpeted entryway of a pillared building, their stone eyes seemingly watching every guest that passed through the doors. The heavy scent of expensive perfume and champagne filled the air, well-dressed people were walking around. Cameras splashed their bright lights, capturing every moment, every arrival. People paused to smile, to pose, to offer just the right angle for the flashing lenses. It was like a living, breathing fashion show. As they passed under a sign that read "DeLauer" something shifted. The nerves were still there, but now there was an excitement too, a thrill of stepping into a world of high class and elegance.

In the ballroom, women wore diamond earrings and necklaces. The jewelry glimmered under the soft glow of chandeliers, catching Jenna's eye with every passing glance. More jewelry sat on display, nestled in velvet-lined cases. A security guard kept watch, his eyes scanning the room. Jenna couldn't help but wonder how much wealth was contained in this one room alone, the value of the diamonds, the pricelessness of the designer gowns, the fleeting moments captured by photographers.

Jenna fixed her tie, the slight discomfort of the collar pressing against her neck suddenly becoming noticeable. Meanwhile, Y/N, unfazed by the extravagance, straightened Jenna's jacket with a smooth, practiced motion.

'Oh, some party, huh?' Y/N giggled, looking around.

'I'm gonna go to the bar and get us a couple drinks' Jenna laughed. 'And while I do that, would you please head over there and frost yourself?' Jenna pointed to the huge display of diamond jewelry.

'I can wear those?'

'Yes, ma'am, you can' Jenna smiled and headed to the bar.
