Agatha stepped out in a wood cabin. A fire crackled in the fireplace, warming the room. There was a table on one side and a few chairs spaced out through the rest of the room. A couple doors were set into the opposite wall.

Death entered behind her, walking past Agatha and slipping off her cloak, dropping it on the wood chair in the corner. She wore a dark green dress that almost looked like it was made from moss. Agatha took a second to take it in— her surroundings, the deal she'd made, Death herself.

"Sooo," Agatha took off her own cloak and threw it on the chair nearest to her. "What now?"

"Now you can start to plan a strategy for how you're going to hold up your end of the bargain," Death said with almost a type of mock excitement, raising her eyebrows and smiling. "And if you want to sweep and cook too then you're more than welcome to."

"Mm," Agatha replied, mirroring Death's sarcasm. "Sure. I'll be your housewife. Thanks so much for including that in your requirements in the deal."

Death put her hands on her hips, smiling. "I have to go. There's some souls that need collecting."

Agatha nodded as Death grabbed her dagger again, then exited out the door.

Agatha stood there for a second, basking in the silence. "Right."

She was in Death's house now.

...

Hours later, Death walked in though the front door, giving a chance for Agatha to see that the cabin was in a forest. Was it in the forest Agatha was in in the first place?

"About time you got back," Agatha said from where she sat at the table.

"Oh I didn't realize I had a curfew," Death responded sarcastically.

"I got bored," Agatha shrugged.

She had gotten bored. After deciding on a few strategies for luring witches into a trap where she'd strip them of their power, she didn't know what to do. So she looked through the other door, seeing two small bedrooms, a closet filled with a few foods and other materials, and a bathroom. Then she'd actually cleaned, just because it was something to do.

"I assume you've looked around then," Death said, heading for the bathroom.

"Yep," Agatha sighed. "Also found the food. Didn't know you needed food."

"I find it a nice perk, but yes, I don't actually need it," Death smiled. "I find it enjoyable. Especially the wine. Never get drunk though."

Agatha returned the smile as Death entered the bathroom and shut the door behind her.
