"No," I groaned, my mission had failed. Loki had been defeated by the Avengers and my giant battle ship had been blasted into a million tiny pieces. I guessed the reason for my loss was because of the betrayal of my friend, Hawkeye. Now I would have to make a whole new villain just because I got betrayed by some idiot.

I hated the Avengers, they had everything I did not have – the strength of the Hulk, the aim of Hawkeye, the power of Thor, the speed of Agent Romanoff, the technology to make Iron Man and finally Captain America who kept them all together and prevented them from unnecessary war. Together they were undefeatable.

Suddenly an idea struck me. They were undefeatable together. What if I found a way to separate them and then take them down piece by piece? But that would be impossible as they had Captain America who kept them together so I decided to take him out first, then the rest wouldn't be that tough. As I thought of my genius plan, an unending smile appeared on my face.

I ran to the inventing room in my private quarters and started creating a villain fast. I put the remains of Loki in its system and then finally placed the sceptre inside its body. The sceptre was like the heart of my monster and would give him power that even the Avengers did not have. I worked on for days and days and finally my monster was ready. I decided to name him Ultron and put only one mission in his mind - destroy the Avengers.

He suddenly got up and said in a monotonous robotic voice – "Mission: Destroy the Avengers. Avenge the death of Loki and the betrayal of Hawkeye. List of destroyal: 1. Captain America 2. The Hulk 3. Agent Romanoff 4. Thor 5. Iron Man 6. Hawkeye."

I saved Hawkeye for the end as I wanted to celebrate my victory with the death of the betrayer. Ultron was fully equipped with weapons and was ready to fight the Avengers but I stopped him and decided he needed an army to fight with him. I made a large army as they would need to keep the Avengers busy while Ultron destroyed Captain America. As I saw the determination of the monsters I had created, I knew they would fight fiercely, and the Avengers were in for a bloody battle.

My monsters roared as they charged towards the Avengers building, destroying everything that came in their path. I had a slight advantage over the Avengers - the element of surprise. I was back at my private quarters, watching the fight through my TV. The Avengers came to their window surprised, not prepared at all except for one – The Hulk. He immediately turned green and started tearing through my army like a tornado of death. Ultron raced towards him and used the weapon I had given him to destroy Captain America on The Hulk. Well, the weapon worked wonderfully but it was used on the wrong person. It first tortured The Hulk and then killed him. The rest of the Avengers came out fully armed and ready, but it was too late - The Hulk was already dead.

I gave my army orders to retreat. The Hulk had destroyed too many of us and if we stayed there any longer, we would be defeated . . . again. I immediately repaired the injured and then went to fix Ultron. I had somehow managed to confuse him between The Hulk and Captain America and now I was paying for it. The Avengers would now be prepared and would soon recover from the loss. They would create a new, stronger and better superhero by their technology and would then defeat us. I could see us losing the battle right in front of my eyes. Then I decided to take one last risk. I created a powerful suit for myself like the one Tony Stark used and tested it. The end result was success and I began to see a small flicker of hope.

Ultron and I created a new army. A larger one, but it was not as strong as the earlier army. I had repaired the flying battleship and was now ready for war. Nobody ate before the battle even though all of us had mice running in our stomachs.

Suddenly the red emergency lights flashed and the alarm rang. With a buzz, a robotic voice filled the speakers – "Please report to your battle stations. This is not a drill." It repeated once more and then suddenly stopped. The lights went off in the battleship and everybody started panicking. It was lucky for us we had our weapons next to us and were just about to leave. I then realised it could be nobody but the Avengers and this time they had a slight advantage - the element of surprise.

Suddenly the lights came on and I saw them charging towards us, in the centre, a new hero, just as I had predicted. All of us were surprised except for me and I was the first one to charge towards them, ready for the first and maybe the last battle of my life.

I immediately started fighting Hawkeye, watching Ultron fighting the new hero whose name I was not aware of and my army fighting the rest of the avengers through the corner of my eye. I knew we were losing very badly but I still did not lose hope. Then I was happy for maybe the last time in my life. My invention had worked. Ultron had defeated the new hero but the happiness went away just as fast as it had come.

The rest of the Avengers had defeated my army and were now attacking Ultron. There was no hope now. Ultron would definitely lose. And I was right once again. Ultron got blasted into a bunch of metal pieces and I remembered how my space ship had been destroyed the same way too. Tears filled my eyes for only the second time in my life. The first time was when Loki had been killed. I realised that there was only one person responsible for the death of my best friend, the destroyal of my greatest invention and the breaking of my spaceship.

It was Hawkeye, who I had considered my best friend after Loki, only to betray me and kill my best friend. With the last ounce of my strength I put my sword through Hawkeye's chest and pulled it out again. I had avenged the death of Loki and Ultron and even though people would never believe it I was now an Avenger. Iron Man finally blasted me to bits and I knew I was dying and I, Azgard had lost . . . again.
