Levi x Ash

It starts with a kiss

Levi had never thought too hard about relationships, to him, it wasn't a priority. Even at college when walking through the halls, passing by endless pairs kissing and doing whatever is romantic, he didn't give more than a single glance.

However, recently he found himself second guessing his plans of forever isolation. His initial thought process for the future consisted of finishing college and getting a job, then getting an apartment  and an orange cat. Before, that was more than enough, but one question had sent Levi into a spiral of overthinking and reconsideration, was the single pringle life truly what he wanted?

Levi stared into the bathroom mirror for a few seconds. His fading red hair mostly laid flat on each side of his head, except one piece which just sticked out in an odd angle. Levi, frustrated, sighed then looked down at his waluigi pajamas. Then, he washed his hands he began to close his eyes and began to replay the memory in his mind.

Blurry voices, a twisted picture that slowly formed into the college environment, and the breaking question...

"Do you really not have any plans of romance, like you're just going to stay forever alone?" Emma questioned.

Levi thought over the question for a few seconds before responding:
"Well I don't know, I guess I'll just see where the future takes me?"

Levi knew that if he answered yes, he wouldn't hear the end of it from his likeable, pretty, funny, perfect in every way, smartest, bestest friend, Emma.

Emma was nice, but she had a habit of prying into people's lives. Recently she had set her sights on Levi and their other friend, Ash. In her eyes, the pair were destined and really should just kiss and admit they like eachother ;).

Knock, knock. Loud , rhythmic knocking started to play on the bathroom door. Levi sighed and with a small smile forming on his face, dried off his hands and opened the bathroom door.

"Hello!"

There was Ash, standing there, probably very menacingly. His red hair was messy (when is it not) and fell over his hazel eyes. Those eyes really like to stare into people's souls. He was wearing a set of matching pajamas with Levi, except his was boo flavoured.

"I see you've woken up-"  Levi smiled at Ash.

"Yeah, although usually I wake up first, what happened?"

"Rethinking life I suppose?"

"Ah, thats rough."

Ash pushes past and begins to wash his face.
Levi stood there for a few seconds, then woke up and walked out of the bathroom.

As he trudged through the room, they were met with a gorgeous dawn sky peering at them from the balcony.

The mixing swirl of pink and purple enchanted Levi, subconsciously pulling him towards the balcony. He could see past memories, some sad, some happy in the clouds as they parted way for the yellow giant.

It truly was beautiful, and Levi found he couldn't look away until he heard a certain special someone creep up on him.

"Boo!" Ash jumped into frame, laughing as he leaned onto the metal frame.

"You didn't scare me"

"Eh, so what?"

Levi chuckled and looked back over at the sky.

"Ash, what are we?"

Ash suddenly stood straight and looked at Levi, the question shocked him, he didn't expect such a question from someone like Levi.

"Well, we are friends, right?" Ash responded after a few seconds.

"Yeah, sorry, I don't know why I said that. I guess I've been a bit confused about what exactly I feel lately."

Levi kept on staring into the sun (are u tryna go more blind) but Ash was looking at Levi.

Ash had known about his feelings for a while, unsure of how to bring up the fact that he...

He liked Levi, romantically.

Ash thought to himself, pondering over whether he should or shouldn't confess. It was a perfect time. The sky was strangely romantic, Levi was questioning his entire life, there truly was no better opportunity.

"Well, Levi?"

"Yeah?"

"This is an assumption, but if I'm right maybe this will help"

"What-"

Levi was cut off by Ash lightly pecking them on the cheek. He stood there in shock, but before they could say anything, Ash had scampered off.

As Levi stood there, alone, he realised, all of a sudden, he had a crush on Ash.

And so it starts...
