Bible's POV
"Sir Bible? Are you awake yet?" With a groan, I open my eyes as I wake up from my sleep after hearing my name along with a soft banging on the door.
Rolling down the bed, I drag my feet towards the door and swing it open to face my bodyguard.
"Good morning, sir Bible. Your brother is waiting for you at the table." Phi Jes says.
"Morning, phi Jes. I'll be back in a minute." I reply and hurry back.
I brush my teeth and shower quicky before getting ready and get out. Phi Jes is still waiting for me at the door, together we head downstairs. My fast steps become slow as I see my dad having his breakfast. Besides him is my brother who still didn't start eating as he's waiting for me. I march towards them and sit in my seat.
"Good morning." I greet them both.
Recently I started eating with my family, leaving dad aside, my brother, phi Bas is at least happy
"Good morning, Bible." My brother replies with a smile while my dad continues to eat without bothering.
Shrugging, I wait as aunt Seema serves me food and together with my brother, we start eating our breakfast. Our breakfast goes quite until my dad opens his mouth.
"How is work going on, Jes? Is he behaving well? Are you able to manage him well?" Dad queries phi Jes.
I stop chewing my food as I look up at phi Jes who is standing beside me. Is he going to talk good or bad about me? Usually I wouldn't have bothered about his answer but somehow I'm curious now because phi Jes have become like a good friend to me and his opinion on me seems a little important.
It's been a month since he joined as my bodyguard and things have changed within this time. Since the day he encouraged me to do whatever makes me happy, I see him as a friend. Because no one has ever encouraged me to do what makes me happy, even my brother. I don't really know his reasons but I atleast know it's related to my dad so I don't take it in bad sense. But finally having someone to understand me and motivate me made me genuinely happy. I don't know what phi Jes sees me as but to me, he's not just my bodyguard but a good friend and a motivator.
With his motivation, I even joined turoing classes in online. No one knows about it, not even my brother. Only phi Jes knows since I shared with him about the happy news of me getting a job as he's the motivation behind it. I didn't want to join in school or college as that would put me out for everyone to see and I didn't want that, atleast for now. So, I joined online classes. Once I'm confident and courageous enough to confront my father, I'll further decide how to proceed forward. But for now, this very first step is enough. My small beginning.
"Everything is fine, sir. Sir Bible didn't cause any troubles to me." Phi Jes answers and a small smile pulls on my lips before I go back to eating.
"Really? That's strange. Previously, there wouldn't be a day where he wouldn't cause a trouble." Dad mumbles, quite confused by my well mannered behavior.
Well, I didn't really cause phi Jes many troubles. The first was when I got into a fight with the car showroom guy. Another one was when I got drunk and made him carry him. That was his first day here. Then one time, I went to have dinner with my friends and a guy started fighting me because when I washed my hands, I accidentally spill few drops of water on his expensive shirt. I kept saying it was accident but he accused me of doing it on purpose and started manhandling me. And why would I keep quite? So I fought him back. It was a chaos and restaurant staff was almost going to complain on me but phi Jes was there on time and rescued me. Then another time, phi Jes and I went to walking and a guy who was cycling bumped onto me and made me fall down. I got a little scratch. Blood was out and I saw red. Adding to that, the guy was blaming me walking without seeing. Now, tell me how do I look behind when I was walking forward? We threw few words at each other, phi Jes was trying to stop but we didn't. But before I could beat the shit out of the guy, phi Jes dragged me away. Those were just few incidents so I guess I didn't cause much trouble. And I'm happy with phi Jes's reply. He seems to have a good impression on me.
Soon after our breakfast finishes and my dad and brother leaves. I head back to my room, followed by phi Jes. We enter our room and I sit in front of my monitor to prepare for the class. Phi Jes sits on the couch hesitantly. He wouldn't enter my room previously and would wait by the door, however long it took. I didn't like that. Sure, he's my bodyguard but he's a human too and now my friend as well. And him being at the door just to gurad me felt so bad. So I invited him into my room. He obviously rejected the offer and was recluent but I nagged him everyday until he agreed by saying I too will sit at the door if he won't get inside. He finally agreed but still feels foreign. It's fine though, he'll be adjusted by time.
"Do you have classes today, sir Bible?" Phi Jes asks me.
"Yeah, but only one hour since it's Saturday." I reply to him, "and we'll be going to bar tonight."
"Okay, sir." He nods at my words.
"Not as my bodyguard, phi Jes but as my guest." I say and he looks surprised, "you have to drink and enjoy yourself. Don't say you won't because you have to guard me. Only for one night, I can manage myself."
It's been a while since I had drinks with my friends so we decided to hang out today. Since tomorrow is Sunday, even if my body suffers because of hangover, I'll have Sunday recover and on Monday I can retrieve back to my classes. And I thought it's a good chance to invite phi Jes as it would be a small celebration for getting a job.
"I can't do that, sir Bible." He says and I sigh having no other choice.
Though phi Jes is a good person, he's stubborn when it comes to being my bodyguard. He won't take chances.
"Then how about you and I drink at home? In that way, you don't have to worry about me." I suggest hoping he would agree.
"May be some other time, sir Bible." He declines sternly and I decide not to push further so I simply nod at him.
I then get back to my work and prepare for the class. Soon, the class starts and an hour later, I get done with my class. After that, I have my lunch and rest for a while before getting ready to go to bar.
"Sir Bible, can we take car tonight?" Phi Jes requests when I was about to put on my helmet, "you see, I can't ride a bike and you'll be drunk to ride so car is more convenient."
"Okay." I agree since it's true. Last time he booked a cab and I had to go to the bar the next morning to bring it.
We then get in the car and he drives us to the bar. As usual I find my friends immediately and sit along with them.
"Hi Mr bodyguard." My friends exclaim seeing phi Jes.
"Hello." Phi Jes greets them back.
"Come on, phi, sit down at least." Seeing him standing, I grab his wrist and pull him down to sit next to me.
"Sir Bib.." He goes to protest.
"Stop! As your sir Bible, I'm ordering you to sit down." I say with fake sterness. I then call a waiter and order juice for him, "and drink this."
Since I said it's an order, he stays quite without aurging back.
"Oh! Did you guys become close? Aren't angry that you have a bodyguard now, Bible?" Mio asks while watching us curiously.
"Um.. Phi Jes is good and I feel comfortable around him so I'm not angry anymore." I reply honestly.
"Th-that's quite unexpected from you." Jjay mumbles but I don't talk anything further anymore.
We continue to drink and gossip about random things until suddenly Fuaiz talks.
"Guys, I'm planning a trip and you all are coming." He announces in his drunken state.
"WHAT?" We all scream at the same time.
"Yes. We'll go tomorrow evening and return a week later. Pack your bags and meet me at our meet up place. No questions." He explains.
"Guys, he got a week off and want to spend some quality time with you all." Jjay clarifies the reason behind.
"Oh! I'm in." Mio says and they all look at me.
Jjay will obviously go, Mio agreed so so only I'm left.
What should I say? I've classes to teach!
