Sarah couldn't help.

She didn't know how to. She didn't know. She didn't know them. Not before. She was fixing that. Trying to fix that. Hopefully, she'd know after.

Excerpts from her notebook:

---

Did they want cookies?

Yes. Crying students sometimes choke on them. Hard to make a lot of cookies and takes up time too.

---

Did they want her to talk normally with them?

Yes. Don't know how to. Need to improve.

---

Did they want her to recite the statistics she knew off the top of the head?

No. Especially not ratios of living to dead. Resulted in a punch to the face. (Wound still healing)

---

Did they want facts?

Not sure. They are "bland, uninteresting and absolutely not worth the time". (Answer from same student that punched me.) Should be listening to other's feelings.  Otherwise, sometimes distracts people from what they were doing.

---

Did they want her feelings, her thoughts, her emotions?

No. Seems to make people cry harder. Or else they disappear. Many were uninterested. (Perhaps that book about influencing people was right. Need to investigate further.)

---

Did they just want her to listen as they cried and argued and fought?

Yes. Don't be silent too long otherwise they think that you're not listening. Make some comment here and there. Seems to work for Will.

House: Ravenclaw

Notes: Scared. Likes the facts. Thinks they're interesting. Asked if it was always like this at Hogwarts. Wanted to be normal, with no magic. Sorry about Michael's death. Asked if I knew him.
