𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐓. Every second of the night before. Though she wished she hadn't.

Olympia awoke to the soft light of morning spilling through the curtains of her dormitory. Her head was still slightly fuzzy from the previous night's events, but as her eyes adjusted, she could feel the warmth of the blankets around her, the soft linens beneath her. It was a strange comfort after everything that had happened. The events from the night before played in her mind like a blurry movie reel.

She remembered walking back to Cedric's dorm with him, their hands brushing together as they spoke in hushed tones. She remembered the way he listened, his bright eyes watching her every word with such focus and kindness. There had been no romantic gestures, no declarations of love, but the conversation had been deep, easy, and genuine. She realized with a soft sigh that Cedric was everything she had thought he might be: loving, kind, and warm. Someone she could easily see herself falling for. It hadn't been what she expected, but it was better.

But then her thoughts shifted, and she could still feel the sting of George's kiss with Marianna. The image was seared into her mind, and she bit her lip, willing herself not to think about it anymore.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Seraphina's voice. "Oh, look who's awake!" Seraphina grinned widely, walking over to Olympia's bed. "So, how did things go with Cedric, hmm? What happened after the party?"

Olympia's face flushed, though she quickly tried to hide it. "It was... it was fine," she said, running a hand through her hair, feeling the lingering effects of the alcohol. "We talked. That's all. We didn't do anything."
