~real life (vera's pov)~

I took many pictures that game and thankfully we came out with the win, Devils 6 and Blackhawks 1. I went up to my office to get ready to leave but I got a little taken away looking at pictures and forgot to ask Sam for a ride home before she left. I am probably the last one here but I am gonna check.

As I walk down towards the locker room I hear the unforgettable voice of none other than Jack. "Luke hurry up I wanna leave" He says yelling into the locker room. I walk towards him and tap him on the shoulder. Before he turns around he starts saying "Luke finally what took- oh you're not Luke." He says as he fully turns around to face me. "Hi Vera" He says with a soft smile. "Hi Jack" I say. "Are you leaving?" Jack asks. "Well I sort of don't have a car yet because I just moved here yesterday so I was gonna order an uber if nobody was here." I say looking at him. "We could take you home" Jack replies. "Are you sure I don't wanna have to make you go out of your way." I say. "Vera it's fine, I'm just waiting for Lukes slow ass." He says with a small laugh. "Jack are you ready to go?" Luke asks. "Yeah I am also Vera is coming with us" Jack says. "Alright let's go" Luke says.

"Jack I'm hungry." Luke says as we pull out of the parking lot. "Alright do you wanna go somewhere?" Jack asks. "Yeah I do, is that okay with you Vera?" Luke asks as he turns around to face me. "Yeah thats fine." I say. "So where do you guys wanna go?" Jack asks. "I'm fine with whatever." I say with a smile. "Can we go to chipotle?" Luke asks. "I'm fine with that" Jack and I say in sync, I let out a soft giggle.

"We're here" Jack says as we all unbuckle. Jack gets out of the car quickly and opens my door. "Thank you Jack, what a gentleman" I say with a slight blush on my face. "Anything for you Very." Jack says with a smirk. "Very? I like it" I say as I let out a small laugh. "I'm glad you like it" Jack says ask we walk into the restaurant. "Enough. I feel like I'm third wheeling" Luke says. "Shut up Luke were just talking" Jack says. Jack and Luke order bowls while I just got a quesadilla. "I will pay because you guys drove me." I say taking out my card "No you won't." Luke says as he puts his card in the machine. "Luke let me do something nice" I say. "You are nice" Luke says. "Thank you" I say.

We finish up with our food and we get back in the car. "Where do you live at Ver?" Jack asks so he knows where to go. "I live in the apartments near the huge mall I forget the address let me pull it up." I say as I pull up the address and then tell him it. "Oh really we live like 5 minutes from there." Luke says. "Oh my gosh thats so cool we should all hang out again." I say. "Oh for sure" Jack says. "Would you guys wanna come car shopping with me tomorrow I know you guys have the day off so we can go explore the city too since I haven't been able to do that yet." I say. "Let's do it" Jack and Luke say. "Alright I will text you, wait I need your numbers. "Give me your phone I will put in mine then send you Jack's" Luke says and I hand him my phone.

"And you are home Ver" Jack says. "Alright thank you guys so much I will see you tomorrow!" I say. "Bye Ver" Luke says. "Have a goodnight" I say as I close the car door. I walk into the apartment building then take the elevator to my apartment. I lock the door behind me and then I get my stuff ready for a shower. Today could not have been more perfect, I think to myself as I take off my makeup.
