"God, I hate being on call. Stupid hero commission thinks they can just boss me around whenever they want."

The voice snaps Snowfall back to reality, and they blink hard, trying to look like they haven't been falling asleep for the last ten minutes of the five heroes trek through the under-city in search of their target.

The laugh from the tall red head next to them is gentle, soothing. "Aw, were you in the middle of getting your beauty sleep, Blasty?"

The blonde's reply is lost as Snowfall turns away, focusing on their surroundings. They were exhausted from being woken up at three A.M. after a full day of patrol, and they couldn't afford to miss a clue because of it.

They take a headcount, making sure they were all there. There was Deku, a hero famous not only for his odd hero name, but also for his fast rise into Japan's top ten. Then there was Red Riot, a rather nice hero with spiky red hair and a suit that made him look very cold.

Next to him was Great Explosion Murder Dynamight, or 'Dynamight' as most hero's called him. He was... annoying, Snowfall thinks as they watch him whine about not being able to find the villain. He was always screaming and angry no matter what people around him did. Last year, he was the reason Snowfall and the others had almost died. I mean, who decides not only to desecrate someone's burial grounds, but also grab the GLOWING necklace off the body?? It's like he's never seen a horror movie! No, scratch that, it's like he doesn't have a sense of survival. Literally anybody would have been able to know that it was a bad idea, but no, not Great Explosion Murder Dynamight!

Snowfall trips on a random tire they hadn't noticed jutting out of the ground, and a hand circles their arm, keeping them upright. Shoto; the last person on their team and Snowfall's mentor. With his monotone voice and expression, not to mention his boring name, most people think he doesn't care much for the world around him, but having known him for a little over a year now, Snowfall knew that wasn't true. He might be extremely emotionally constipated, sure, but he was good at noticing people's feelings, and he won't hesitate to help if someone needs it.

They nod their thanks and he lets go, taking up his position at Snowfall's side, looking around the woods in a way that mirrors his sidekick's.

"Are you telling me to be quiet??" Dynamight looks like he's about to kill Deku, and Snowfall tenses, prepared to intervene if necessary, but Deku didn't need it, killing his friend/nemesis's arrogance with his reply.

"Shh, yes! We have to pay attention to our surroundings, that villain could be anywhere." Snowfall wished they could take a picture of the look on the blonde's face. They could have sold it for so much money, they knew of at least a few hero's close to the group that would pay handsomely for it. 'King of arrogance shocked into silence.'

Attempting to shrug it off, he focus's his anger on something he can at least try to control:

"As if I wouldn't notice if a villain was sneaking up on me, speak for yourself." His voice was quieter now, as if embarrassed, and maybe Snowfall would have felt bad for him, if he hadn't just uttered the one phrase that just sent all the Karma god's searching for him.

"I mean, Deku's right, Dynamight, this villain is super dangerous. You heard the debriefing, right?" Red Riot's intervention brings Snowfall's thoughts to the file they'd read;
