I sit in the cold, the breeze brushing against my artificial fur. I felt like I needed to get somewhere warmer, but I knew if I moved from the small burrow in the cliff, it would be even colder.

The wind bites against my black fur, stinging my red eyes and causing my pupils to narrow to slits. I wasn't a cat after all, I was a cold-blooded mika.

I could feel the temperature start to take a toll on me, causing me to grow tired and slow. I didn't want that, so I opened my mouth and let out a soft chirp, begging for someone to help.

After a few minutes off nearly falling asleep, I heard a soft purr, "Awh...are you cold...?" I looked up quietly, seeing a warlock. He wore a large brown brimmed mage hat with a moon charm dangling on the pointed end, had a fair skin tone, rectangular glasses, dashing green eyes, a neatly trimmed beard, and a comically large and poofy winter coat.

My ear twitches as he slowly grabs my sides and pulls me out of the burrow. He tucked me into the opening off the large coat, and I subconsciously began to purr in content.

"Such a cute mika...and a rare one at that...don't see black mikas often..." the warlock smiled softly, before asking, "How about I take you home with me? Would you mind that?"

I lifted my head and chittered happily, my pupils dilating slightly. He chuckled softly and began walking through the snow-covered trees. "How about a name then? Shadow? Snow?" He began listing out names, looking around.

I noticed a small quill in his coat pocket and chittered, nodding my head towards it. He smiled, "Ink? Or how about...Inky? Does that sound good?"

I chittered in content, continuing to purr as he walked. "Well, you can call me Master Minerva. Does that sound fine?"

I looked up at him quietly. I understood 'master', but the rest of his sentence was a garbled jumble. I blinked a few times, before snuggling back into the warmth of My Master's coat.

That was the day My Master picked me up, and I never left him after that.
