Title: The Raijyada Proposal
*Part 3: A Delicate Balance

---

Anvi had settled into her role at R’A’R Empire with steady confidence, learning to navigate the fast-paced demands of her position as Ansh’s personal assistant. Days blended together in a whirlwind of meetings, deadlines, and last-minute changes, and each week presented new challenges that tested her skills and adaptability.

Though the role was demanding, Anvi felt more energized than ever. Working alongside Ansh had awakened a part of her she hadn’t known existed—a part that thrived on challenges and sought to match the same unyielding standards he held for himself. She took pride in ensuring every detail was perfect, that every meeting ran seamlessly, and that his schedule was as organized as a military operation.

As time passed, their interactions became smoother, almost intuitive. Anvi had begun to anticipate Ansh’s needs, often preparing documents or summaries without him having to ask. She even managed to read his moods, knowing when he needed silence to think and when he was open to a quick debrief. And though their exchanges remained strictly professional, she couldn’t ignore the subtle shift in their connection—the way their conversations felt charged, the unspoken understanding that passed between them.

One morning, as Anvi reviewed Ansh’s schedule, she noted an upcoming business gala hosted by Sharma Group, a crucial partner for R’A’R. It was an exclusive event, one where R’A’R’s presence was expected to make a statement. She had prepared all the logistics, from RSVPs to finalizing the guest list, when Ansh called her into his office.

She entered, greeted by the familiar scent of leather and paper that filled his office. Ansh was standing by the window, looking out at the city with his usual composed demeanor. He turned as she entered, his gaze steady.

“Ms. Deshmukh,” he began, gesturing for her to take a seat. “I’ve been reviewing the details for the Sharma Group gala. Excellent work. However, I think it would be beneficial for you to accompany me to the event.”

Anvi blinked, surprised. She hadn’t anticipated attending the gala herself. “Sir, are you sure? I mean… isn’t it more appropriate for me to manage things from behind the scenes?”

Ansh smiled faintly, an expression that hinted at his amusement. “Yes, but in this case, I think your presence would add value. You’ve been heavily involved with Sharma Group, and having you there could provide the continuity we need for the partnership to move forward smoothly.”

Anvi nodded, trying to ignore the flutter of nerves at the thought of attending such an important event with him. “I’d be honored, sir. I’ll make sure everything is prepared.”

“Good,” he replied, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than usual. “The event is black-tie, so make sure to dress appropriately. I’ll arrange for my driver to pick you up that evening.”

Anvi’s heart skipped a beat, both at the thought of attending the gala and at the subtle kindness in his gesture. “Thank you, sir. I’ll be ready.”

The Night of the Gala

The evening of the gala arrived, and Anvi found herself standing in front of the mirror, adjusting the delicate folds of her emerald-green saree.
