The Hungry Lion and The Wise Tortoise
One day on a sunny afternoon, there was a hungry lion, whose stomach growled of hunger. He set his sight on a moving tortoise, he was so ecstatic he found his lunch to feast on. The hungry lion approached the tortoise with excitement, a menacing grin and ready to devour the tortoise, but the wise tortoise knew what was coming and already had a plan.
Instead of running for his life and being hysterical he was instead reposed about it and he said "oh mighty lion before you have me as your feast, could we have a small talk, intrigued the lion agreed, saying "a little friendly chat before his feast wouldn't be a problem or wouldn't hurt".
The tortoise began saying " dear lion, I may be small but I am slow but, I am known for my wisdom world wide even though I am slow, I am known far far away for my wisdom, I can bring you something much more valuable that the taste of this my tough old shell, I can offer you knowledge that will make you the wisest and fastest lion in this savannah, he agreed to the tortoise's proposal the tortoise gave him.
He then said to the wise tortoise " tell me wise tortoise, what does it take to become the wisest and fastest lion in the savannah". Then the wise tortoise then chuckled softly and said to him "the secret lies in a "magical dance", if you follow my lead, I will teach you the dance and it will make you a swiftly fast lion, but we must do it in a secluded spot so no one can see us.
The lion excited by the prospect gaining incredible wisdom and speed agreed to the tortoise plan. They ventured into a hidden clearing and the tortoise began to teach the lion the "magical dance". With every step and turn the lion became more entranced by the rhythmic movements, as the lion was caught in the dance, the tortoise seized the opportunity to retreat, with his slow but steady pace, he was able to run away before the lion could open its eyes.
When the lion opened its eyes the tortoise was gone, he realized he had been tricked into a dance , but he couldn't help but laugh at the cleverness of the wise old tortoise. From that day on, the lion spared the life of the wise old tortoise, respecting him not only for his cunning but also for the unexpected dance lessons that left the mighty lion with a newfound appreciation for the art of movement. And so the lion and the tortoise became good friends and lived happily in the vast savannah.
Moral of the story: There are different ways to get something, you don't have to be violent and always appreciate what someone does for you even if you were tricked to it, if you are able to learn something from it seize that opportunity and be happy about it.
