Ringing...ringggg..
a loud buzz along with vibrations left the device which sat atop the table just beside the bed. it was constantly buzzing for the past few seconds. the loud noise filled the small room breaking the boy's slumber. a pair of squinted eyes scanned through the room as they searched for the source of noise. having found it, a hand reached the device and pressed the cancel button to turn the alarm off. the blonde boy took his phone and looked at the screen. the time read 8:45 AM. a lazy yawn left his mouth as he unlocked it. notifications started popping up on the screen from different applications. he ignored most of them but tapped on a particular one to read the unread text.
warden
mr. kim your roommate who is assigned to reside at room no. 301 for this semester will be arriving today around 9:00AM.the boy read the text and with a sigh started typing with one hand as he was lying on his stomach.
taehyung
okay , thank you for informing me.putting his phone down on the bed, taehyung sat up and started at nothing in particular before another yawn left his mouth. the young boy started scratching his head and turned his eyes to meet the mess on the floor.
moving from one house to another was never difficult for him as he had already moved several houses, rather cities throughout his teenage years. having a stable place to live was not in his luck, or he thought so.
he scanned the boxes and looked at the empty soju bottles laying on the floor. cursing himself he got up from his comfortable bed and started picking up the glass bottles which previously contained alcohol. the room reeked of alcohol and cigarettes which taehyung had consumed the previous night. it wasn't like he got drunk everyday, rather he avoided alcohol. but when your mind is recalling all the pain you have been through, the common remedy one chooses is alcohol. taehyung did too, it was like putting band-aids on his scars.
the tall blonde boy put on his sweatpants over his boxers. it was almost time for his new roommate to arrive. college would be starting in three days and him having nowhere to go, moved in a week before. it didn't bother taehyung much, having a roommate, meeting new people. the thought of socializing didn't bring him much enthusiasm as it should to a twenty two year old. he was rather indifferent about it, but somewhere deep down he wished to have atleast a bearable human who would respect his space. we all want to have people in our lives who respects us, don't we?
after what felt like twenty minutes or so taehyung got rid off all the mess he had made the pervious night from drinking alone in his college dorm- it was time to move the boxes which was sitting on the bed, his roommate's bed. taehyung didn't have much stuff to begin with, all he owned was his books, clothes and some necessities. the blonde in his twenties never had enough money to spend it on luxurious things, his possessions always consisted of necessities. it was like he could not afford to spend money recklessly- yes he thought fulfilling his desires was reckless enough. the boy never possessed or he thought he didn't have the right to poesses what he desired for, be it materialistic belongings or feelings.
making his room look a bit more inhabitable he quickly took his phone out and hurriedly started texting someone. soon a caller id popped up and the phone started ringing. picking it up immediately he said "hello".
"yes this is kim taehyung speaking" he answered the person on the other side of the phone, but little did he know that the next thing the person would say was about to bring a horrified expression on his face.
"what? right now?"
"please text me the address, I'll be there" the phone call ended with taehyung putting on a jumper to avoid the chilly weather of fall.
