Mumei point to view

Today is the day, the day my life will change forever. After all, I've been accepted for a dream job, a job that anyone would wish for, because who wouldn't want to make a living just by sitting and talking to a computer? Of course, I don't think it will be an easy job. After all, the company that accepted me doesn't want me to be just another streamer or one of the many that exist today. I will become an idol for Hololive, and today I will meet my fellow generation members. I hope we can become friends, more than just workmates.

Okay, don't get nervous, it's just a greeting, and maybe we'll have some coffee or something to eat. It's just hanging out to get to know each other. Urgh, I'm so clumsy! I was supposed to be at the office at one, and it's already half past one. I couldn't sleep, and I stayed up late playing games on the PC. At least I made it to the office, and I had to let them know I would be late. Luckily, I'm not the only one.

So, it was the sixth floor where the meeting was - I raise my hand to press the button when a woman enters. She's attractive. Even a woman can tell how beautiful she is. She has long legs and a truly sexy figure. She looks at me and asks:

"Ermm, which floor are you going to?"

Then I realize I've been staring at her this whole time, and I can't help but blush because of the awkward situation. I open my mouth to give the closest thing to an answer:

"...Six... the sixth floor..."

She replies:

"Ah, I'm going to the sixth floor too..."

I try to give the calmest response possible in the awkward situation:

"Okay... the sixth floor it is..." - I press the elevator button - total silence.

Uncomfortable... I hate awkward silences. I open my mouth to say something, but she speaks first:

"Hey, were you also chosen to be part of Hololive?"

The question catches me off guard, and I answer:

"Ah, yes... my name is Nanashi Mumei... and you were called for the meeting too, right?"

"Yes, my name is Ouro Kronni..."

Again, total silence. Just as I try to start a conversation again, we arrive at the designated floor for the meeting.

We get out of the elevator and find a woman in a suit. She introduces herself as one of the managers and takes us to the office where we'll meet our generation mates. We apologize for being late and proceed to enter the office. I thought it would be an office more like those in movies with tons of lawyers, but it was closer to a living room in a big house. In fact, it was quite colorful for an office where market meetings were supposed to happen, but despite how comfortable everything looked, I couldn't avoid feeling uncomfortable because of the previous situation.

Kronni steps forward and begins to greet everyone one by one, and I follow behind. They introduced themselves in order, like:

Hakoz Baelz, who represents chaos. She's a bit short but very energetic, and her accent is very strong. I have trouble understanding some phrases, but I think we can get along.

Tsukumo Sana, who represents space. She's tall with a great figure. She's calm, very kind, and has a slightly perverted sense of humor, but not too much.

Ceres Fauna, who represents nature. She also has a great figure that suits her calm and beautiful voice, almost like a mother figure that doesn't match her age.

And Ouro Kronni, who represents time. The only way to describe her is perfect and elegant, with an amazing and fun personality that, thinking about it, contrasts quite a bit with the awkward situation we had in the elevator.

It was a great day. Despite my nerves, I got along with everyone. After all, each and every one of them was so fun. After the meeting, we decided to hang out a little more at a café across the street. We spent a couple of hours talking about all sorts of things. By the time we realized it, it was getting quite late, and it was time to say goodbye since we all lived pretty far from each other. As we were parting ways, I realized I was left alone with Kronni.

Even though we got along well and had a good conversation, there was still a bit of discomfort. Well, it was the first time we'd met, and even when we ran into each other in the elevator, it was awkward. But Kronni was really fun and kind during the last stretch of the day when we were alone. So, when the moment came to separate and say goodbye, Kronni said:

"Today was really fun, we should hang out again."

"Sure, we should talk to the others so we can get together and hang out."

"Yeah, but we should also hang out... just the two of us and get to know each other a bit more, if you want, of course."

She caught me off guard. I didn't think she wanted to go out with just me, but I couldn't reject her. There's something about her that I can't quite explain, especially with her captivating personality.

"Sure, whenever you want, just let me know and we can go out."

"Great! See you then."

It's been two years since then, and we've been through a lot. Some fun things, and others not so much, but that doesn't change the fact that these two years have felt like a dream come true. But, just like in a real dream, something unexpected happened.

I'm at the airport with Kronni, and as if she couldn't have picked a worse place to ask me, she drops the question like it's no big deal.

"Mumei, I like you. Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

I froze. I didn't know how to respond. Then they call for Kronni's flight; she has to leave, and I still don't have an answer. The last thing she says before heading to the plane is:

"Alright, think about it and let me know when you can. I don't want to pressure you. After all, we'll still be friends if your answer is no. See you then."

After a while, it's my turn to board, and as I walk toward the plane, a ton of questions pass through my head, but the one that stands out the most is: Why me?
