Once you're all ready for bed, Ghost sits down on your bed with you, tucking you in and gently kissing your forehead.

"Oh god how excited I am to make you suffer in training tomorrow for all the things you've been doing to me.." He sighs and she punches his shoulder gently, making him chuckle. "Maybe I'll even go harder on you than usually."

"Ah, but you know my stamina is crap.."

"That's the best part. You sweating and out of breath after a couple laps around base.." He whispers, standing up after he realises his dirty thoughts. "Right. The usual 6 AM, y/n. Not 7:30 like yesterday."

"Yeah, yeah." She rolls her eyes. "Hey, are you not even going to give me a goodnight kiss?" She sits up, looking up at him with her puppy eyes.

"Haven't really been a good girl now, have you, princess?" He mutters, looking down at her. "I know what you want, I'm just not giving it to you yet." He gently grabs her chin, leaning down and pressing a light kiss to her forehead before he walks to the door and opens it, turning the lights off. "Sleep well, love." He gives her a small smile and leaves.

In the morning, all you wanted to do was sleep a little more, but the alarm kept going off every two minutes, so after half an hour of just sleeping in, you hear the door to your quarters slam in, making you sit up on the bed out of reflex.

"Didn't you hear it when I said that you better not be late, huh?" The voice is familiar, but you can't even open your eyes. That changes when you feel two hands on your shoulders. "Get the fuck up, y/n. This is not a joke, I can't keep covering for you when you're not at training and the general is going around base to check if everyone's where they should be." He raises his voice and only then do you realise what's actually happening.

"Fuck.." She rubs her eyes, sighing a bit.

"You have 5 minutes to be at training, not a single fucking second more." He rushes out, slamming the door in once again, leaving her absolutely flabbergasted over what the actual hell just happened.

Obviously, it takes more than 5 minutes to get ready even though she gets up just a second after the door gets closed. Around 10 minutes later, she arrives outside the base where the laps are still going. Ghost doesn't look way too happy about her performance right now, and doesn't even hide the fact that he's fuming.

"Here." He orders, not a single drop of emotion other than anger in his voice. She doesn't dare to do otherwise, quickly walking up to him. "Y/n, this is a military base, not a fucking cafe where you can just say sorry for being late and go about your day, serving customers. It takes only one time for the general to notice it and you're outta here, you get that?" He leans close, but it's pretty clear that he only wants to make you feel intimidated. "I've lost more people than you can imagine, so I really don't need you getting fired, get that in that pretty little head of yours, will ya?" She just nods, standing in shock. "Fifty laps and don't you whine."

"Yes, sir.." She nods again, not even questioning his decision.

After like the tenth lap, she's already gone, breathing heavily and sweating even though its around the end of November in just her uniform, no coat. Once everyone's done with the training, she's still only completed around thirty laps, but risks going back to Ghost.

"I'm done.." She looks up at him, breathing as heavily as she possibly can.

"I've only counted 32. Are you saying I'm stupid or are you just lying to get out quicker?" The same cold look is back in his eyes, like he doesn't give a flying fuck if she would just drop dead, unable to breathe right here..

"I'm really sorry, Ghost.. I was tired out last night, I tried waking up, I really did."

"Well, evidently not hard enough." His gaze gets colder and colder by every passing second. "I've done a report of the mission after I left your room, I was up until around 2 AM. Woke up at 4:30, did a one hour workout session, had breakfast and managed to get here way before any of the recruits or privates. You could've done it as well, you just couldn't bother." He keeps staring at her face. "Now, I believe you still have 18 more laps to run, unless you want me to add another 20."

"Right.." She sighs, going back to doing the laps.
