I was walking home. It was cold, windy, dark. It looked like it was gonna rain. The street lights were dim, shining just enough light to get where I was going. But that's just it. Where was I going? I heard footsteps so I turned around. No one was there. I kept on walking, speeding up my pace. I felt eyes burning my skin. Who was watching me? "Hello?" I whispered with a shaky voice. I heard the footsteps again. I ran as fast as I could. I wasn't gonna stop until I reached somewhere safe.
I've been running for nearly twenty minuets now, but what seemed like an hour. My breathing was hard and heavy I thought I was gonna pass out. There was nothing. These streets seemed like never ending darkness. I think I took a wrong turn. I should be hitting shops or a bar or something by now.
I kept on hearing what sounded like breathing, but not mine, someone else's. I felt the same eyes burning on me, and if eyes could kill, I would have been dead. My heart rate felt like a million beats per second. I've never ran this far. Who am I kidding? I never ran.
I couldn't go any longer. I just stopped totally in my tracks. If a car hasn't passed once since I've been running, why would one decide to pass now? I sat right where I was in the middle of the road.....highway? I didn't know where I was. All I knew was that I wasn't alone. And from what I can tell, my company wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon.
I pulled my thighs to my chest and set my chin on my knees. I hugged my legs like I was holding on for dear life. I started of thinking about everything that had happened. The stuff that caused me to run away to no where. I felt a warm tear slide down my now cold cheeks. Before I new it I was crying a river.
My tears were still going when I felt the strong presence. It was like they were standing right behind me. I didn't bother to look since everytime I did before, I turned to see nothing.
"Don't cry. It will make this even harder." A husky voice spoke.
I felt my stomach clench and goosebumps form on my skin."Please, just kill me. I will die in the end anyway..." I sobbed through my tears. I was serious. Very serious. I did want to die. I had no where to go, even if I did live.
"Out of all my years, never have I heard that." The thick British accent who was still a mystery spoke. What was he talking about 'Out of all my years, never have I heard that?' He didn't sound that old. Was he gonna kill me or not?
"Are you gonna kill me or not?" I asked with a annoyed tone. I still haven't picked my head up to see if I could spot the person who has been following me. I was getting very annoyed though. I was already down in the dumps to begin with. I didn't need them giving me the comparison of their past to me.
"Is that a trick question?" He asked sounding...happy? What did he mean trick question? It meant kill me or leave me the hell alone to die. Was I seriously having a conversation with someone who has been following me, and I haven't even officially met? They didn't even know my name.
"Are you trying to annoy me?" I asked finally looking up to meet his dark, dark...green? Eyes. He smiled and asked, "Is it working?"
"No. Now go away!" I yelled. He was annoying me of course. But I wasn't gonna give him the satisfaction of knowing it.
He let out a deep chuckle. "Challenge accepted..." What did that mean? Challenge accepted? There is no challenge, because there is no game.
"Leave me alone!" I yelled getting up. I started walking again. I heard another chuckle, then footsteps. But not ones that were walking on concrete. They were in the woods that stood beside the road. I heard a few sticks break, then I started to run.
I was running, keep in mind I don't run. I felt like there was no way out. This was literally a never ending road. I was becoming out of breath, but I needed to keep going.
I heard the footsteps get louder and closer. Before I knew it I was stopped. I was on the ground laying on my stomach. I was flipped over by a boy. He had dark brown curls, and vibrant pink plump lips. I couldn't see his eyes. They were covered by locks of his hair dangling in his face.
"Get off! Get away from me!" I screamed pushing his arms away. But in a swift movement, he pinned my wrist with one of his freakishly large hands above my head. I was stuck.
"Do I frighten you?" He asked, we were still in the same position. I had my eyes closed tight. I couldn't bare to see the face of who could've been my killer.
"No" I mumbled with my eyes still shut. His grip tightened and I couldn't see but I could feel him lean down. As his lips lightly brushed my neck, I could feel his warm breath. I could hear him inhale my scent. Was he smelling me? Weird.....
I felt his oddly sharp teeth graze my neck. "Do I Frighten you?!" He yelled in my ear. I now was extremely scared. That is one thing that scares me. Yelling. My past made it my weakness.
"Answer me!" He yelled in my ear again, you could hear the rage in his voice. I was truly frightened. "Y-Yes!" I mumbled. I was trying to hold back my tears. But it was no use. One single tear fell, that triggered all of them.
"This is the reaction I want!" He growled. He then leaned back in near my neck. My eyes still haven't opened. His teeth grazed my neck again. I then felt two sharp ones press my neck. My eyes shot open.
"Why is this so hard?!" He yelled pulling away from me. I saw what I've only heard about in stories. Fangs. Then I looked up and I saw blood red eyes. A vampire?
