Well, after 15 years I was finally adopted. I should be happy but I'm not. The family didn't even get me. They just sent me the plane ticket. I can't believe that after all these years in Georgia, I'm leaving. I'll miss this place.

Right now I'm sitting on the plane, a bad version of hairspray is on. It truly sucks that I have to go to New York alone. I didn't even meet this family, they just saw a picture of me on the adoption sight. I did hear that they have a big apartment with 8 rooms. I didn't think they came with that many.

Well the plane is descending, to be honest, I'm scared. Of my new life, and descending. You know, I guess I should describe myself. All the adults called me a human barbie, except with brown hair that goes to my thighs and is very wavey. I'm on the short side, and even though adults called me gorgeous it doesn't mean that they see what I see in a mirror.

I've been beaten because of jealousy by the other girls at the orphanage. So all I see are bruises on my stomach and legs. Well the descent finally ended, thank god! That was scarry! I've never flown before but at least it was a good experience.

I feel so out of place here. I know its an airport, but my thigh high skirt and tight T-shirt feels like they got smaller. As I step off the plane I see a man that looks like a limo driver holding a sign with my name on it. Great, they didn't even come to the airport to get me.

I take the luggage that was on the plane with me and walk to him. "Excuse me, but are you looking for an Ashley Clark?" The man shakes his head yes and speaks. "Don't worry, I've worked with the Hieshinada family for years. You have nothing to worry about them, and you can call me Carlo if you like." I smile at him and go to the thing that has my other luggage on it. I only have three bags so I have to get the last two since one was with me.

I go to grab them when Carlo takes them. "Its okay, its in my job description to do this stuff." I smile at him again and thank him. Maybe he could be my friend, even though he looks to be 40. We walk outside and to the limo, I guessed right.

I get in the back of the long limo and stare outside as we drive. I still look outside as a speak. "Carlo? Can you tell me about this family? I don't know anything about them or if there are other children." I hear him chuckle but he speaks with respect.

"Well, I'm not surprised they didn't tell you anything. They are some weird people. But there are no children, misses Hieshinada is barren. She is a beautiful woman too. She is also kind. Mr. Hieshinada is the same but a little strict. They are one of the richest people in New York city. Make that all of New York. You know, they are actually one of the richest people in the world. But don't worry about it, I just know they will love you." I let out a sigh of relief, at least I know they are nice.

But I can't believe they are rich. I don't care about that though. I'm just glad I finally have a family. Well I'm glad there's not to much of a time difference. We start to go into the actual city now. Its huge! I've never seen anything else like this! There are huge buildings and sighs everywhere!

"Wow" that's all I can say. I can tell that the people are staring at the limo, but I don't care! This is amazing! We come up to a fairly big building that's in the middle of other smaller buildings that touch.

"We're here. And I can't wait to work with you from now on." I smile at him and get out, my small pink bag still in my hands. Carlo gets my other bags as I just stare at the beautiful green of the apartment. I'm really nervous. I look to Carlo and he gestures his head to the door.

I walk up the steps and nock on the door. The next instant, a tall man and a small woman, shorter then me, opens the door. "So you must be Ashley. Welcome." I'm guessing that this man is Mr. Hieshinada. I speak. "Yes and thank you for bringin me into your home." The woman is beautiful like Carlo said. "Well come in before you catch your death of cold. And I understand if you don't call us mom and dad but I want you to call us that. We are family now."

They lead me to a door that's pink. I'm glad its pink, one its my favorite color, and two this place is huge! "This will be your room, we heard from the orphanage that pink is your favorite and other colors you prefer." I look to Mr. Hieshinada, "thank up you and it is." I put my hand on the doorknob and open the door.

Oh. My. God. I am in love with this room! It has all the colors I love and they all mix in perfectly! The bed is a bright yet pale pink and it is a huge canopy. The room is at least 20 by 30. The walls are a beautiful lightning blue and the carpet is a mixture of both! I turn to my new family. "I love it! Thank you!" I hug there necks one at a time.

Misses Hieshinada talks. "We are glad you like it we will leave you to your new room to get settled. Dinner starts in an hour." They then walk out and close the door. I take my two big bags and put them on the bed and start to unpack. I have a feeling that I will like my new family.
