'Adisyn.' A slick voice whispers. 'What do you want?' I reply, still in a dream like haze. 'We want you Adisyn.' The voice whispers, causing me to shake my head. 'Why?' I ask, causing the voice to laugh. 'You've got Beta blood sweetheart.' The voice lulls. 'You're going to make a lovely mate.' He whispers, causing my blood to curdle. 'I have a mate.' I retort, causing the man to groan. 'I bit you, you're mine now.' He says, causing me to whimper.

My eyes shoot open as I gasp, running out of my room quickly. "Dax!" I scream, running frantically through the house. "Adi?" Austyn asks, his tone panicked. "Austyn, I need Dax." I insist, causing him to sigh. "He isn't back for two days." He reminds.

My breathing hitches in my throat as I knot my hands in my hair. "It will be okay." He soothes, wrapping his arms around my waist tightly. "Is everything okay?" He asks. I shake my head, before burying it in my hands. "Deep breaths Adisyn, deep breaths." Austyn coaxes, rubbing my back.

"I-I need Dax." I whisper, causing my wolf to whine. She was scared, all she wanted was her mate, all either of us wanted was our mate. But he was far away, in a meeting with who knows who about god knows what.

I feel his wolf begin to stir, sensing my distress. 'We don't need to upset him.'  She hisses, causing me to nod. 'He has enough to deal with right now with out us causing any excessive problems for him.' She reminds, causing me to nod. 'But the threats.' I sigh. 'We are the Lunas of this pack Adisyn.' She says. 'Do you really think anyone would let anything happen to us?' She asks, causing me to sigh. 'You know I'm right.' She laughs.

I groan, burying my face in the couch. Maybe I should tell Austyn about these threats. I mean, he is in charge of me until Dax gets back in two days. I decide against it, shaking my head. Just get your mind off of it, come on Adisyn. I think, sighing.

"I'm going to make some breakfast." I sigh, standing up on my feet and edging myself towards the kitchen. "Ooh! Whatcha going to cook little one?" He asks eagerly, causing me to roll my eyes. "Nothing for you." I tease, sticking my tongue out at him.

"But Adi!" He whines, causing me to laugh. "Don't you 'but Adi' me." I laugh, going into the fridge and pulling out four eggs and a loaf of bread. "Ooh! Dippers?" He cheers, causing me to nod. "Of course, what else is worthy of the title 'ultimate breakfast food.'" I say, causing him to laugh.

"I have no idea what else would even come close." He replies. This causes me to smile before turning around and finishing making us breakfast. Though cooking with someone watching over me only caused an old flash back to resurface.

"Adisyn?" My mother's voice booms through the house. I immediately feel my body tense, causing me to drop the glass plate in my hands. I hear the plate clatter to the ground around me and immediately it causes my eyes to widen.

"You hopeless, hopeless girl. Why would you do that?" She says, pulling me out of the pile of glass roughly. I whimper as the glass sticks into my foot, causing me to hiss. "This is why your father left." She accuses, causing my eyes to water.

"You hopeless, ugly, little girl." She laughs, pushing me back into the shards of glass that surround me. "Now clean this up. I am expecting those eggs done with in the next ten minutes. I advise you have them done, you don't want to know what will happen if you don't." She cackles, walking away.

"Adisyn? Adisyn!" Austyn exclaims, his hands forcefully gripping my shoulders. I gasp, screaming as I back away from him, dropping the spatula in the process. "Woah, Adisyn, I would never hurt you." He insists, laying his hand gently on my shoulder. I nod, blinking back tears.

"I'll finish up breakfast. Why don't you go get in the shower for a bit?" He asks, causing me to nod. He shoots me a sad smile, shooing me off so he can finish breakfast. I walk back into my bed room, hastily fishing out a blue neck tied top, and a pair of faded blue shorts before hopping into the shower.

It has been a long time since I have had any sort of flash backs about my mother. You see, I have a condition knows as PTSD. For anyone who may not know what that means, it stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It means that you are easily triggered by things that remind you of particularly terrible situations from your past. It can send you into a panic attack, or just make you generally freak out.

I was ashamed by my disorder, I didn't want Daxton to know. I mean, he cares about me, a lot, but that is a lot to worry about. I don't need to give him any more issues. I am already a walking flight risk.

I groan, letting the cold water encompass me, shaking me out of my haze. I quickly lather the shampoo through my hair, washing my body before getting myself dressed and returning myself to Austyn.

I wrap a fluffy, white towel around my hair, walking into the kitchen. "Hey Adi." He says, causing me to smile at him sadly. I have lost it twice today, and it is before 12:00 PM. "Here you go sweetheart." He says, handing me a plate with two eggs and two pieces of toast. I smile, nodding at him and walking into the living room.

Austyn pulls up Netflix, putting on one of our favourite shows "How I Met Your Mother." I smile, wrapping myself in Daxton's favourite, white blanket. It was drowning in his scent, which somehow seemed to comfort me.

I bury my nose in it subconsciously, eating my breakfast before slipping my eyes shut.

'We're coming for you Adisyn Penny.'
