Chapter one

                                                                 The truth that will NEVER be told

Bam! A gunshot was fired. A man fell to the floor lifeless with blood gushing from his head. "He was the love of my life " she said as she dropped the gun. "AND he was also abusive," said the man as he put his hand on her shoulder. "And as your boss, I would never let you be abused, verbally or physically. The two walked over to the dead body that was lying on a white rug that had been turned into a red drape. The man bent down on one knee and examined the body closely. He slowly tilted his head from one side to another. "Do you think he worked for the R.O.I ?" she asked. The man sighed "Honestly I don't know Cath, it's been something I've suspected for a while but I couldn't quite point my finger at it" he replied as he stood up "BUT whatever it is he said in a very stern voice "there will be no dating and especially no marriage until I can wrap my finger around this". Looking her in the eyes, he asked her "Do you understand?" looking down in shame and embarrassment, Cath replied "yes sir" "that's my agent" said the man.
The two walked out of the building, leaving the dead body in its place. Cath and her boss got into a cab. "how did I end up like this?" she thought to herself. Cath was sad and embarrassed, she felt like she had humiliated herself, like she had let her boss down. She swore to herself that it would never happen again
                                                          EIGHTEEN YEARS LATER
Leia, an 18-year-old agent is returning from a successful mission. "LEIA!" yelled her best friend Brianna, wrapping her in a tight hug,"  Girl, you have no idea how relieved I am to see you alive!" Brianna exclaimed. "Bri! I can barely breathe!" Brianna unwrapped her friend and quickly apologized, "Right, sorry. So, how did everything go?" she interrogated. Leia scratched her head, causing her long, wavy brown hair to get frizzy and disheveled. "Oh... I see," said Brianna, giving her that unmistakable "look". Leia giggled, "No, it was nothing too bad. I'll get into the details after I report to Xavier." The two entered the elevator and reached floor five. As they parted ways, Brianna yelled out, "I'll be waiting!" while walking backward and pointing two fingers at Leia.
 Leia opened the main office door gently. "Sir...?" The door opened to a man with gray hair and a gray beard wearing a blue suit and black glasses, sitting in front of 10 computers. "Leia, you're back early," he said in a low, authoritative tone., it was nothing TOO bad, ill get into the details after I report to Xavier." the two got into the elevator and reached floor five, they got out of the elevator and as the two parted ways Brianna yelled out, "ILL BE WAITING!" she said, walking backward pointing her two fingers at Leia. Leia opened the main office door gently, "sir..?" the door opened to a man with grey hair and a grey beard wearing a blue suit and black glasses sitting in front of 10 computers. "Leia, your back early," he said in a chilling tone. His fingers tapped away at the computer keyboard. "yeah, the target was dumber than I expected" Xavier chuckled. "oh really?" he asked. "yeah" she said rubbing her arm. "OH! I almost forgot" said Leia as she pulled out a blue folder she was holding in the grasp of her armpit, she placed it on Xavier's desk. "the folder you asked for, it was an easy find". Xavier gently rubbed his finger around on the folder "Yes, you never fail to impress me, good work Leia" Leia smiled brightly, she was always ready to make her boss happy. "I'm glad to hear that sir," she said. "Now run along, I'm sure you've got things to talk about with all your friends," said Xavier jokingly. Leia started giggling "Sir I only have TWO friends!" as Leia started approaching the door, Xavier called out "OH! I almost forgot"
"Have I done something, sir?" she asked, confused. "No, no, it's just I know this is going to be new to you," said Xavier. Leia was a bit worried. "What's wrong, sir?" Xavier sat up in his seat and turned around. "I need you to attend another very important mission today," he said. Leia was taken aback. "I- I beg your pardon, sir, you said today?!" Xavier chuckled. "You heard me right, today." Leia gave him a look of confusion, shock, and disappointment. "I know you can handle it. We need someone with skill like you to take on this mission," said Xavier, trying to be persuasive. "You know I'm not your only skilled agent, sir," she said in an annoyed, and slightly high-pitched tone. "Yes, I'm fully aware, but not all agents are like you, Leia. I need someone with skill, the ability to lure people into traps easily, beauty - you have it all," said Xavier. Leia smiled; her boss had unintentionally complimented her. All right, so what's the plan?" Xavier told her about Connor Ridwell, a highly skilled double agent working for their rival agency, the R.O.I. Leia returned to her dorm, turned the doorknob, and was surprised to find Brianna sitting on her bed. "Bri, what are you doing here?" Leia asked, puzzled. "What do you mean, what am I doing here? I told you I'd be waiting!" Brianna retorted. "Oh, right," Leia replied with a hint of sadness. "I sense the attitude! What's wrong?" Leia slumped onto her bed and said, "Take a guess." "No more missions for you until another month of training?" Brianna guessed. "Pfft! Nowhere near close!" Brianna looked bewildered. "Okay, then what happened?" Leia sat up and said, "Xavier is throwing me into another mission, TODAY." Brianna's eyes widened in disbelief, "No way!" she exclaimed. "youjust returned from a mission!". "yeah, I know!" said Leia. The two sat quietlyfor a while and then Brianna asked "ok, well do you need help with anything? Mymission isn't until later tonight" Leia thought for a while, "outfit picking Iguess, I kinda suckat that" she said.
 Leia and Brianna spent the next hour picking outfits andgetting her makeup done, then after an hour, they were finally finished. Leiaheaded over to Xavier's office and at the door she met Lindsey, Xavier'sassistant. "Lindsey, could you tell Xavier that I'm ready?" "Yes dearI certainly can, OH also here is your fake ID Xavier told me to prepare foryou" "oh thank you" "your very welcome dear" Lindsey said with a smile. "Xavier is waiting for you in the office"Leia headed to the office. "sir? "you called for me?" he turned around, "Yes, I just wanted to give the usual, eyes on the target, trust yourself never lose hope, we're always here to back you up" "Never gets old sir" "I'm glad" Leia smiled and walked out. She got into the cab and they drove her away, with Brianna watching her from her dorm window.
