Kara's eyes snapped open, her breath ragged as she gasped for air. The familiar, sterile scent of the hospital filled her nostrils, but the cold, suffocating atmosphere felt even more oppressive than before. She was lying on a cold metal bed, and for a moment, she thought she was still trapped in the nightmare.

But this was real. This was the hospital-the one she had tried to escape. And now, there was no escape from the place she had once thought was just a horrific memory.

Her body felt heavy, as if the weight of the building itself was pushing down on her. The walls seemed to pulse around her, like a beating heart, alive and aware of her every move. There was no way to fight it. There was no way to outrun it.

The lights above flickered, casting an eerie glow across the room. Shadows danced along the walls, distorting the shape of the room, making it look like it was stretching out and folding in on itself. Kara's pulse quickened, the panic setting in once again. She sat up, only to find herself tethered to the bed. Thin, cold straps bound her wrists and ankles, holding her in place.

No... no, no!

Her breath came faster, her chest tightening as the realization hit her. The hospital had claimed her. She had escaped before, but it wasn't over. The walls weren't just made of stone and steel-they were made of something darker, something more ancient. Something that lived and breathed.

The whispers. They were back. Faint at first, like a breeze brushing past her ears, but they were growing louder, clearer. "You're not alone."

Kara's mind raced as she scanned the room. It was a small, sterile white room with no windows, no escape. The door was gone, replaced by smooth, unbroken walls. The hospital had taken it all. There was no exit anymore. There was only it.

Suddenly, the door at the far end of the room creaked open, the sound of its hinges so loud it almost echoed. Kara's heart skipped a beat as she turned her head toward the sound.

Through the door stepped a figure, barely visible in the dim light. It was tall, cloaked in shadow, and though Kara couldn't make out its face, she knew that whatever it was, it wasn't human.

The figure stepped closer, and Kara could feel the temperature drop, the air growing heavier around her.

"Lily..." Kara's voice was barely more than a breath, her throat dry as she spoke the name she had come to dread. "What do you want from me?"

The figure didn't answer. Instead, it took another step forward, its presence filling the room like an oppressive storm. Kara's skin crawled as it grew nearer, its eyes-those hollow, empty eyes-locking onto hers. She could feel it staring into her soul, trying to break her, to tear her apart from the inside.

"You're not meant to leave."

Kara's heart raced, the pounding in her chest deafening. She fought against the straps that held her, pulling with everything she had left, but they wouldn't budge. Panic bubbled up inside her, desperate and raw.

The figure reached out, its hand hovering just above her face. It was cold-so cold, like death itself. She recoiled instinctively, but there was nowhere to go. No escape.

And then, it spoke again. Its voice was soft, like a whisper from the deepest part of the hospital.

"You were never meant to leave. None of you were. This is where you belong."

Kara's body trembled, but her mind raced. The memories of her friends-Ethan, Mia, Ben-they flashed before her eyes. They were here too. They were part of this.

Suddenly, the air in the room shifted. The floor beneath her feet began to rumble, the walls groaning with a strange, otherworldly force. Kara gasped as the lights flickered again, this time plunging the room into complete darkness.

In the silence that followed, she could hear it-something moving, something scratching against the floor, scraping closer to her. The sound was faint at first, but it grew louder, more distinct. It was the sound of nails on concrete, dragging themselves toward her.

A low growl filled the room. Kara's blood ran cold as the whispers grew louder, blending with the growl, until it was a chorus of voices-voices she knew all too well.

They were inside the hospital now. They were all a part of it.

Kara.

She froze as the voices called her name, each one familiar, yet twisted beyond recognition. Her friends, all of them, had become part of this thing-this dark, living entity. The hospital.

And now, they were all here, speaking to her, pulling her into the darkness.

She closed her eyes, her heart hammering in her chest. It was too much. She couldn't take it anymore.

But then-something shifted.

A light.

The light at the end of the hallway. She could see it now, faint but there. A way out.

Kara's eyes snapped open, and without thinking, she pulled against the restraints again, this time with all her strength. The straps loosened, snapping free as if the hospital itself was giving her a chance to escape.

Kara scrambled to her feet, her legs unsteady but moving, her body reacting on pure instinct. The door-the door at the end of the room-was her only hope. She ran toward it, her breath ragged, her chest tight, as if the walls were closing in around her.

The figure in the shadows reached out, its hands clawing at the air, but it was too late. Kara pushed through the door, bursting into the hallway, the light blinding her as she stumbled forward.

The hallway stretched out before her, the same, endless corridor she had walked through before. But now, it was different. There were no voices. No shadows.

For a moment, Kara thought she was free. She turned, expecting the hospital to be behind her, but when she looked back, the walls were gone.

There was nothing but darkness.

She couldn't see the building. It was as if the hospital had never been there at all. And in that silence, she felt it-an emptiness. A terrible, suffocating absence.

But then, she heard it. A voice, faint but unmistakable.

"You can never leave."

And Kara knew, deep in her soul, that the hospital was still with her. It wasn't just a place. It wasn't just a building. It was inside her now.

It was waiting.
