The week flew by, and soon enough, the day arrived. A crowd had already gathered to welcome Boo Seungkwan back. Some might wonder why so many people would show up for the president’s son. If it were the president herself, it’d make sense, but her son?
The answer was simple: Boo Seungkwan was the nation’s sweetheart.
Boo Seungkwan was set to arrive on a private jet. It might have seemed like overkill, but with the threat hanging over him, Seungcheol wasn’t willing to take any chances. He arranged for BOMG’s private jet to bring him home safely.
Now, with thirty minutes to go, Wonwoo glanced between Seungcheol and Minghao as they stood on the airstrip, waiting for the plane to land.
“Where are Woozi and Dino?” he asked.
Seungcheol, arms crossed, kept his gaze on the clear sky. “Woozi’s busy enrolling Dino at the university where Seungkwan will be studying. It’s the perfect cover.”
Wonwoo gave an approving nod. Minghao smirked, slipping on his sunglasses. “Dino’s got it good. A break from real work, but… now he’s stuck going back to school.”
Seungcheol and Wonwoo shot Minghao a warning look, and he raised his hands in mock surrender, still smirking. “Alright, alright. I’ll stop,” he muttered, though the grin lingered.
With a nod to his team, Seungcheol stepped away toward the line of guards holding back the crowd that had gathered to see Boo Seungkwan. He scanned the faces, noting each one. Any one of them could pose a threat, and Seungcheol wasn’t about to let his guard down.
Approaching the airport security in-charge, he introduced himself briskly, “Choi Seungcheol, BOMG. We’re here for Boo Seungkwan.”
Before the man could respond, Seungcheol continued, his tone leaving no room for debate. “Get those people back. It’s too risky to have them that close.”
Without waiting for a reply, Seungcheol turned and headed back to his team. The in-charge, left with little choice, quickly ordered the crowd to disperse, knowing Seungcheol wasn’t one to make idle requests.
Back with his team, Seungcheol kept his eyes fixed on the horizon. The faint rumble of an incoming jet grew louder, and soon, a sleek private plane appeared, descending steadily toward the runway. The crowd had backed off as instructed, but a few determined onlookers lingered at a safe distance, eyes locked on the landing strip.
“Here we go,” Wonwoo muttered, straightening up, his focus sharpening.
Minghao adjusted his sunglasses, hiding his intensity behind a cool facade. “Let’s hope Dino’s settled in by now. He’s got to be ready to stick to Seungkwan like glue.”
Seungcheol only nodded, his jaw set. This was the first time he’d be meeting Boo Seungkwan in person, and while he had memorized every detail of the young man’s profile, he knew that nothing could fully prepare him for the unpredictability that might come with being the president’s son.
As the jet touched down and rolled to a stop, Seungcheol signaled to his team. They moved into position, forming a protective perimeter as the plane’s door opened. A few tense moments passed before Boo Seungkwan emerged, stepping out onto the stairway with an air of calm that contrasted the slight nervousness in his eyes as he took in the waiting team below.
Seungcheol stepped forward, holding Seungkwan’s gaze with a steady look. “Mr. Boo Seungkwan,” he said, offering a brief nod. “I’m the head of your security detail.”
Seungkwan looked at Seungcheol, a mix of curiosity and hesitation in his eyes. “I heard BOMG takes security seriously, but I didn’t expect it to be this… intense.”
