I shifted to NYC after my parents had a huge fight with the rest of my family 7 months ago. It was hard, but I managed.
My country's education system was also a huge obstacle for me.
That's why I was so happy when my dad told me and my brother that we were moving to America.
My brother was still in elementary school, so it didn't affect his education much.
But high school in America is very different than the one I am familiar with.

"Hey Gia!" exclaimed Riley.
"Hey, Riley," I replied
"What's up, Gia," asked Maya.
"Nothing much."
I met Riley about 6 months ago at my new high school. She was a happy little girl with a sage bow in her hair which made her look adorable.
I found out that our history teacher, Mr. Matthews is her father.
Then she brought me over to Topanga's and introduced me to her friends.
Lucas was her boyfriend from Texas, Maya was her best friend for life, Zay seemed like a nice guy, and then there was Farkle, who seemed a bit out of place.
He fell unconscious for some reason. I don't even remember.
Maya explained that he and his ex-girlfriend Smackle had recently broken up.
"What a perfect match," said "Their names line up perfectly"
"Yeah, but her first name was Isadora. We just called her Smackle partially because it was her last name"
"Why did they break up" I ask casually trying to hide my curiosity to know more about Farkle
"Her mom got a job opportunity in Switzerland and they couldn't handle long distance"
"Oh"
"Farkle is a weird name, though, don't you think?" I asked
"Wait till you hear his last name" Maya smirked in a playful way "iIt'sMinkus"
"Wait seriously?"
"Yeah." "As he once said. Don't wear it out!"
"He also had a growth spurt a while ago" explained Maya
"He had a huge crush on me and Riley and he still loves us but now in a platonic manner I think"
"Oh" I sighed in relief
