It had been a few days since Peter and his friends had started settling into a routine. The tension from the past was starting to lift, and the family was enjoying more peaceful moments. But Tony wasn’t the type to sit still for long. He was busy with work, but today, Morgan had insisted on a rare father-daughter outing.

"Come on, Dad! You promised! Just one day, you and me, no work. I need some time with you," she had said, her usual playful voice now laced with an earnest request.

Tony, of course, couldn’t resist her playful tantrum, a look of amusement and affection tugging at his heart. "Alright, alright, squirt, you win. We’ll go. I’ll get us some ice cream, and we’ll talk about… whatever you want," he had finally agreed, shaking his head with a smile.

Morgan had jumped up, hugging him tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she had squealed, as she tugged him out the door.

They drove to the ice cream parlor, where Morgan bounced in the passenger seat, excited to spend some time with her father. Tony looked over at her every now and then, his smile softening. She was growing up so fast, and in moments like this, it was hard to remember that his little girl had become such a strong and independent young woman.

"Go ahead, kiddo," Tony said as they arrived, "Go on in, I’ll park the car and join you in a minute."

Morgan gave him a quick nod and a smile before rushing out of the car, her energy as boundless as ever. Tony, satisfied, began maneuvering the car to a parking spot a bit farther down the street. But just as he was about to turn into the space, he didn’t see the approaching car. He heard the screech of tires just as the vehicle barreled toward him.

The next thing Tony knew, everything went black.

Morgan’s POV

Morgan had entered the shop, her mind still buzzing with excitement, scanning the brightly colored ice cream flavors. She made a quick decision, but when she turned to pay, she froze.

She saw the flash of the car’s headlights just before it hit her father.

"NO!" she screamed, her heart seizing as she rushed toward the door.

She dashed out, her legs moving faster than her brain could process. She spotted Tony lying crumpled on the ground, the car that had struck him quickly speeding away in the distance.

"Dad!" Morgan cried, her voice choked with panic as she dropped to her knees beside him. Her hands trembled as she reached out to touch him, his blood already beginning to pool beneath his still body.

Her heart was hammering in her chest as she cradled his head in her lap, tears streaming down her face. "Please, Dad... wake up! Please, don't leave me..." she whispered, her voice breaking with every word. Her breath hitched, and for the first time, she felt the full weight of how fragile everything could be.

She screamed for help, her sobs echoing in the street, but in the chaos of it all, it felt like time had stopped.

Someone nearby had already dialed for an ambulance, but the minutes stretched on like hours. Every passing second felt like an eternity as she tried to shake her father awake, desperately pleading for him to respond.

"Dad!" she cried again, but there was nothing. No response.
