Before Leona knew it, strong hands were gripping her arms, pulling her back toward Crowe Manor. Her heart raced, her thoughts a mess. They'd been so close to breaking free, to taking away Alistair's power. But now, they were trapped again.

The guards dragged her and Dante through the mansion's dark hallways, until they were brought to a room lined with mirrors and flickering candles. At the center stood Alistair, watching them with an icy calm.

"Leona," he said, his voice smooth and controlled, though she could hear the anger behind it. "You betrayed me. After all I gave you."

Leona's fear mixed with anger. She held her head high, refusing to let him see her weakness. "You didn't give me freedom. You only gave me chains."

Alistair's jaw tightened, and he waved his hand, dismissing the guards. They left, and the door closed behind them, leaving only her, Dante, and Alistair in the silence.

Alistair turned to Dante, a cold smirk on his lips. "So, my rebellious little brother. You've been causing trouble again."

Dante glared at him, his fists clenched. "I won't let you control her, Alistair. You've done enough damage."

Alistair let out a quiet, mocking laugh. "Control? This bond goes deeper than you'll ever understand, Dante. And it's unbreakable."

Leona felt the mark on her wrist heat up, as if to remind her of Alistair's power over her. She looked at him, her fear simmering into defiance. "This isn't over," she said, her voice steady.

Alistair's eyes narrowed. "Maybe not. But I promise you, Leona, this is the beginning of something far worse."
