17. You're the one that I want

This morning the girls and boys category is gathered on the stage. Simon is about to start his introduction of the second day.

"Okay well first of all welcome back and most importantly, congratulations." Simon starts the introduction and we all cheer. "I see in every category a star in the making. And we've only just begun."

The crowd on stage cheers.

"Today we've got two things on the schedule." Simon continues. "This morning you will perform the first duet. If your partner went home yesterday do not worry, we have found you a new one who has also lost their partner yesterday."

"We will start with the pairs who stayed together, so we can give the new couples some time to practice together before they have to go on." Louis adds.

The crowd cheers.

"So first things first. If the couples who already have a partner will please leave the stage and prepare, we will now call out the new pairs that have formed."

I grab Harry by the arm and we walk off together. Laelynn, Jade and Liam follow while Daisy and Louis stay behind.

"I'm excited for this." Harry says.

"Oh me too. You still know all our moves right?" I smile at him.

"How could I forget." He responds.

Backstage the schedule guy is handing out a paper. We all get one. "Oh we're on third." Harry notices. "Better get ready then."

"We're on twenty second." Laelynn tells us, with Niall standing beside her.

"I think they're starting with your song and ending with ours" Jade notices, "Because we're on twenty fifth just before the newly formed couples have to come up."

"We're on twentieth." Liam says to the girl standing next to him.

Jade wasn't wrong, this girl really isn't the prettiest.

"Guess we have some time to watch you and Harry perform then!" Liam looks at me with mischief in his eyes.

"My god, as if the judges weren't enough." I roll my eyes.

"Hey guys!" Daisy comes running towards us, her curls bouncing as she goes. "What's our position?"

I look through the schedule and find her name. I notice that the new name next to hers is Louis. "You're on thirtieth." I look up from the paper and see that now Louis is standing beside her.

"Okay great, give me that." Louis plucks the paper from my hand.

"Louis come on we've got to practice." Daisy is already by the door.

"Yeah girl let's go." he runs off with her.

The first couple is called up on the stage and the others go find a seat in the back to watch the stage. Harry and I stay behind backstage and softly sing our song and mimic our dance moves along with the couple that's actually performing on stage. Harry and I laugh at ourselves when the song ends.

"Ready to go again?" I ask as the track starts up again and the second couple performs. We quietly practice some more before we're told to go on.

"We got this." Harry whispers while we enter.

"Don't forget to have fun with it." I respond.

In the distance I can see Liam, Jade, and Laelynn holding their thumbs up. Simon and Louis sit behind the jury desk, there's no chat because of the tight time schedule so we just get in position and the track starts.

"I've got chills, they're multiplying." Harry starts us off hitting the first notes perfectly.

"And I'm losing control." He throws of his jacket and I put my hand on my hip pretending to be bored.

"'Cause the power you're supplying, it's electrifying." He throws himself in front of my feet.

"You better shape up." I push his chest with my shoe and Harry gets back up.

"'Cause I need a man." I turn my back to him and walk away, he follows me every step. Then I quickly turn around to face him.

"And my heart is set on you." I rest my hand on his shoulder as I walk back the other direction, making him walk backwards.

"You better shape up." I turn my back to him again. "You better understand." I walk away and once again Harry follows as he should. "To my heart I must be true." I sing facing him again. "Nothin' left, nothin' left for me to do" Harry smiles at me as he sings.

"You're the one that I want." Harry points to me, I points to Harry.
"You are the one that I want." The background track goes.

"Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey" Harry is now standing behind me, we both move to look at each other without moving our feet. "The one that I want."

"You are the one that I want." The background track goes again.

"Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey" We switch positions by looking at each other from the other side, still not moving our feet. "The one that I want"

"Ooh, ooh, ooh" Harry places his left hand in front of me. "The one I need" I take it with my right hand. "Oh, yes, indeed"

"yes, indeed" I spin out holding Harry's hand. "You're the one that I want" We end the song still holding each other's hand.

"Thank you." Simon says as a sign to leave the stage and make room for the next couple.

"That was amazing." I squeak as we enter backstage. "It was electrifying." Harry jokes and I laugh.

"You guys were awesome!" Liam and the others come rushing in.

"Really a convincing performance guys." Louis notes.

"I think I was smiling throughout the whole performance. I didn't even realize we were contesting." Harry laughs.

"Oh I had so much fun doing that." I say coming down from the adrenaline rush.
