A deep blue light shines across the room making Kamala uneasy. Her first presidential debate against Donald Trump was set to start in less than 20 seconds.

"Welcome to the 2024 presidential debate between Former president Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris held by ABC news"

Taking breath in Kamala walks on to the stage and goes to shake Trump's hand immediately showing a sign of power. Taking a look around she saw his wife Melania Trump behind the stage out of view to the cameras. God that woman got her flustered all the time and she had no reason or explanation for why.

"-Her vice presidential pick says abortion in the ninth month is absolutely fine. He also says  execution after birth - its execution, no longer abortion because the baby is born is ok" says her opponent, Trump

Kamala has to try to hold in her laugh. Nobody was port aborting or executing babies

"They're eating the cats. They're eating the dogs" Trump says

What? Kamalas mind filled with sudden confusion, what was he even talking about?"

"This...former president" Kamala says, barely containing the incredulity in her voice. She wanted to curse Trump out so badly

After Trump delivers his closing statement Kamala walks away and breathes a sigh of relief. There was no arguing. She won that debate.

When her gaze unfocuses from the floor and her eyes laying upon a spectacular sight. There in all her glory stood Melania Trump. Her beautiful dirty blonde bangs falling in her face. Kamalas face suddenly heats up and shes sure she's turning a deep shade of crimson

"Melania. Hi." She says trying not to become a deeper shade of red

"Hello I-" Melania quickly cuts off her sentence as the orange man approaches her and gestures for her to come to him.

Kamala watches her roll her eyes and walk towards Trump, the flustered feeling never leaving her body.

Kamala breathes and tries to make her face less red as she walks towards the camera on her way to exit the newsroom.

Once in her car she breathes a sigh of relief and puts on You Are In Love by Taylor Swift as she gets driven to the afterparty

Walking into the afterparty venue she hears people screaming her name and holding up signs for her and her running mate Tim Waltz.

"Donald Trump's arguments tonight were not only baseless, they were reckless." Kamala says to the crowd her voice steady. "This is not the leadership that our country needs."

The crowd cheers, and for a brief moment Kamala allows herself to bask in the applause. As she checked her watch the time said 12:30 am. She knew it was time to wrap up her speech.

"Thank you for your support" She says while grinning
