The hum of the train’s engine was a steady rhythm as Y/N watched the countryside pass by, each field and cluster of trees a blur. She had been looking forward to this trip for weeks.

The constant hustle of tour life had worn her down, and a few days of peace in Doncaster with Louis and his family was exactly what she needed. So when the oldest member invited her over, she couldn't say no.

When the train slowed and finally pulled into Doncaster station, her heart raced with excitement. She grabbed her bag from the overhead compartment, adjusted her jacket, and headed for the door.

The station was busy, but all she could focus on was finding the one person who had been keeping her sane throughout the madness of her schedule—Louis.

The doors of the train slid open, and she stepped out onto the platform, the cool autumn air greeting her. She scanned the crowd, her eyes searching for a familiar face. And then she saw him.

Louis stood near the edge of the platform, his usual carefree smile stretching across his face as he saw her. His eyes lit up the moment he spotted her, and in an instant, he was moving toward her through the crowd.

“Y/N!” Louis called, his voice easily carrying over the chatter of the busy station.

Y/N couldn’t help but grin as she lifted her hand in response. “Louis!” She quickened her pace, her heart fluttering at the thought of spending time with him and his family.

By the time she was close enough, Louis was already grinning widely, his arms opening in anticipation. Before she could even process what was happening, he swept her off her feet, lifting her off the ground in a tight hug. She let out a startled laugh, her hands instinctively grabbing onto his shoulders as he spun her around in excitement.

“You finally made it!” Louis said, his voice full of joy as he set her back on her feet, still holding her by the shoulders and beaming down at her.

“I’m here, I’m here!” Y/N replied, breathless and laughing, her hands still on his arms. “And I’m not going anywhere for the next few days.”

Louis winked at her and then bent down to grab her bag, slinging it over his shoulder. “Well, if you’re not going anywhere, you’d better get used to mum’s cooking,” he teased, leading her away from the platform toward the exit.

“So, what’s the plan for today?” Y/N asked, her eyes glancing around the station as they made their way to Louis’ car parked nearby.

“First stop: home,” Louis said with a grin, his eyes sparkling in excitement. “Mum’s been cooking all day, and the girls have already planned something fun for us. You’re gonna get spoiled, trust me.”

Y/N laughed, feeling instantly relaxed in Louis’ presence. “I can’t wait. I’ve been craving some home-cooked food for so long.”

The drive to Louis’ house was a short one, and it gave Y/N a chance to unwind as she took in the view. Doncaster’s quiet streets and cozy homes were a stark contrast to the constant noise and energy she’d been surrounded by on tour. It felt like a peaceful retreat.
