23| Bohner

It had been three years since the hex collapsed and Alice had managed to make a life for herself living on her own. She somehow managed to get herself a gig as a medical assistant at the local hospital, she dreamed of being a nurse but there was no way she was going to be able to do that. On her off days she would spend her time at the skate park healing the kids that would get hurt, they had taken to calling her nurse Sofia even though she kept saying she wasn't a nurse. Despite all this she still kept an eye on her brother in the next town over he was doing well for himself, even having a boyfriend which didn't surprise her she always got that vibe from her brother. She had somehow made friends with the boy, he would go on rants about stupid things the boy would do and it always made her laugh until one night she got a message from the boy.

So William thinks he's not William Kaplan but someone else but not like entirely.

Eddie texted Alice as he was hiding in the bathroom at the Kaplan residence, instead of responding she called the boy.

"Hey sof. I'm hiding in the bathroom so I can't be long."

The boy said causing the girl to laugh, of course she found this amusing she had to or she would reveal too much.

"Is it weird that it doesn't sound crazy to me?"

Eddie asked Alice, she didn't think it was weird at all considering she was also in the same boat as the boy.

"No it doesn't. But how about you go see his theories and then see if he's lost it?"

Alice told the boy with a laugh, realising he probably should have done that instead of hiding in the bathroom in the first place.

"You are a life saver, Sofia. Thank you. I will talk to you later."

The boy told Alice before he hung up, he had no idea that Alice was sitting in a tree across the street from the Harkness residence watching her old lover look like she was bonkers.

"Oh Valentina. If only you could break out of that spell."

Alice let out a sigh, she must have said it just that bit too loud.

"Who's there?"

The voice of a that Alice recognised as John Collins called out, Alice immediately teleporting home. She was going to have to watch her favourite reality show keeping up with the Harkness's another time. Alice had to admit it was absolutely hilarious watching them do mundane shit when you knew you they really were, but recently it had been extra funny because they had suddenly started thinking they were cops and it just always seemed to brighten her day.

"If you're not William Kaplan then who are you. I should have kept my mouth shut."

Eddie mumbles to himself as he made his way out of the bathroom and back into the boy's room.

"I'm ready to hear your theories."

Eddie tells the boy as he enters the room, Billy smiling at him, he already had everything spread out on the floor.

"I compiled a dossier."

Billy told the boy, Eddie making mental note that he was going to tell Sofia that later.

"Of course you have."

Eddie said, it was completely on brand for his boyfriend to do such a thing, the boy going to take off his jacket but was stopped by the boy.

"No distractions, please. I'm going to need you to hide those arms."
