The Ravenclaw common room was dim, the tall windows obscured by sheets of rain as a storm raged outside. Kimberly pulled her cloak tighter around herself, glancing out at the soggy grounds. The weather wasn't ideal, but she wasn't about to miss the Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff match. Watching Harry play was always a thrill.

She drew her hood up and took a steadying breath, heading toward the door. But just as she stepped outside, she nearly bumped into someone standing in the doorway. She froze, her heart skipping a beat before she groaned, recognizing him.

"Malfoy?" she spat, trying to regain her balance. Even in the dim light of the corridor, his smirk was unmistakable.

"Kim," Draco drawled, folding his arms. "Off to see Potter, are we?"

"Don't you have anything better to do?" She glared at him, hoping to slip past, but Draco mirrored her movements, blocking her way. Her cheeks flushed, and not just from the irritation—memories of their near-kiss in the hospital wing flashed uncomfortably in her mind.

"Are you planning to move, or are you just going to stand there?" she muttered, trying to sidestep him.

"Hm, let's see... Aha! I'm just going to stand here!" Draco taunted, his grin widening as he leaned against the wall.

Kimberly's patience snapped. "Bullshit." Without hesitation, she shoved him hard, making him stumble back against the wall. The satisfaction was fleeting as she stormed off, eager to escape the tension.

But Draco was quick to recover. "Hey, wait up!" he called, falling into step beside her.

Kimberly's annoyance deepened. She glanced sideways at him, trying to make sense of his persistence. Why wouldn't he leave her alone? Half of her wanted to remind him about their awkward moment in the hospital wing, but she shoved the thought aside—she'd rather forget it ever happened.

"If you keep following me like that, I might assume you like me," she said, her tone a mix of playfulness and annoyance.

Draco stopped short, clearly caught off guard. Kimberly didn't give him the chance to respond. She quickened her pace, a smirk tugging at her lips as she imagined him standing there, stunned and probably scrambling for something to say. Good, she thought. Let him stew over it.

Draco, however, stayed where he was, staring after her. His mind replayed her words, and an unexpected warmth spread through his chest. Like her? Ridiculous. He shook his head, trying to banish the thought, but his feet betrayed him, taking him toward her path without thinking.
