Towards the end of the hearing, a younger senator questions Morgan. "So, why should we trust you, Ms. Stark, given your background, or lack thereof?"

Morgan closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She had practiced this monologue for hours, using visual cues to help with memorization.

Cue: Security camera footage from last Monday of her mother listening to her assistants.

"It is my responsibility, as the next generation of the Stark family, to carry on the work of my parents and grandparents. This means not only running the family business, but taking on the duties and consequences that come when what we make succeeds or fails.

Cue: Security camera footage, taken at night, of a man with a metal arm taking a package from the trunk of a car in the rain. An older man lies facedown on the wet road nearby.

"My grandfather was entrusted with secrets because his company was pioneering and thorough. He eventually paid for that trust with his life.

Cue: HUD footage from the Battle of New York, showing Tony Stark trying to call Pepper on the last percent of the suit's battery while he flies towards the wormhole with a nuclear-tipped missile on his back.

"My father gave himself a life purpose because his company's products were world-renowned, and he paid for that purpose with his life, meaningfully.

Cue: Camera footage of two programmers watching, on a computer screen and through an observation window, the progress of the Headway and QAI installation in Morgan's brain.

"I gave myself this responsibility because my company made something dangerous and exceptionally good." Morgan paused and lowered her head. "Now...I better make it count, because I probably won't have long."
