I couldn't believe I was going to start school tomorrow, I was nervous as heck. Just thinking about it made me sweat, and made my legs shake nonstop. I was already biting my nails and going around in circles on my room. My heart was pounding, pumping blood at a much higher pace.
I was invisible back in my school, in my own country! Now here? Was I going to be completely invisible here? I sure the heck didn't want to have the same school experience I had back in Manchester. I honestly wished for something to be at least better here in this school.
"Stop it, you are going to make me dizzy," a voice says, tearing through the thoughts I was having. I didn't even realize that Holly was standing at the door this entire time.
"I'm sorry," I say then chuckled nervously because I couldn't bring myself to be normal at that moment.
"What's up?" she throws herself on my bed but manages to land on her but, with her elbow stopping her back from being against the bed.
"I'm nervous about tomorrow," I frown at her and I thought she was going to hug me or comfort me or anything but no, Holly just saw this as an opportunity to laugh. I mean, seriously? "Just get out of here," I say as I threw myself next to her.
This morning marks a full week being here, in this different country. Holly and I spent most of our time sharing the good and bad things about our countries. We were getting close, really fast and for the first time, I actually found someone whom I clicked with.
"I'm going to go out for a bit with my friends, in the meantime just keep yourself busy and avoid getting on Connor's nerves," she informs me, teasing me with the last sentence and I just rolled my eyes.
It turned out, Connor just hates me. I don't know why but these past few days, it seems like everything I did pissed him off and I tried to ignore him but it was starting to get on my nerves.
"Bye," I whispered right after Holly was out of my room. I didn't even notice her actually getting up from my bed and walking out my door.
Minutes after Holly left, I was sitting on my bed and just scrolling through my phone, watching Instagram reels and tik tok. I suddenly felt the presence of someone and eyes on me, I quickly look at the door and I had a mini heart attack before my brain could identify Bryce.
"How long have you been standing there?" I ask, totally ignoring the fact that he scared me, and I swung my legs over the side of the bed and let myself sit in an upright position after I've been laying down by my back.
"Long enough to feel drawn to you," he responded with that then his pink lips formed a smirk. He was silly, was he though? Because after he said that, I had this smile on my face.
"A flirt, that much?" I say, with nothing else to say after my cheeks are heating up.
"Only for you, sweetheart," with that, he lets himself inside my room. "What's a beautiful girl doing alone?"
"Can you talk like a normal person?" I muttered because honestly, it was getting a bit awkward for me. After I said that, Bryce just laughed and honestly, he had the most amazing laugh.
"A'ight, come on. Let me take you somewhere," he cooes and by now he was sitting right next to me.
"Where?" I ask, not taking a minute to refuse because I know that I was going to stay here and get bored to death. So might as well go with Bryce to wherever he was taking me to.
"My friend is having a pool party and I want you to tag along with me."
"To be your plus one?"
"My date," He clarifies and I smile and nod.
