It had been a long day for Felix. Between rehearsals, interviews, and recording sessions, he was exhausted—physically and mentally. But, as always, he wore a smile that made everyone else believe he was full of energy. However, tonight was different. Tonight, he wanted nothing more than to escape the constant buzz of his life for a few hours. And what better way to do that than with you?
He stood at the door to your apartment, key in hand, his fingers lightly tapping against the cool metal surface. It had been a while since the two of you had a night to yourselves, and Felix was looking forward to just relaxing. No fans, no cameras—just the two of you and some much-needed quiet.
You opened the door, a smile lighting up your face when you saw him. His tiredness seemed to melt away just from the sight of you, and he felt like maybe, just maybe, everything would slow down for a while.
"Felix," you greeted softly, stepping aside to let him in. "How was your day?"
He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Long," he admitted. "But it's better now that I'm here."
You smiled, guiding him to the couch where you had already set up a cozy little corner with blankets and pillows. "I figured we could use some downtime," you said, picking up a bowl of popcorn from the coffee table and handing it to him. "How about we watch something light? No idol stuff. Just... something simple."
Felix sank into the couch, his exhaustion catching up with him as he relaxed into the cushions. He grabbed a handful of popcorn and smiled at you. "You always know what I need."
You chuckled, sitting next to him. "It's not that hard to figure out," you said, leaning against his shoulder. "You work hard. You deserve a break."
He let out a small laugh, his hand finding yours. It was so easy to be with you like this, so peaceful. He had spent years being surrounded by people, always being "on," but right now, in this moment, he felt safe. He felt like he could just be Felix—no stage persona, no performance, just himself.
You pressed your head against his shoulder, your fingers gently playing with the hem of his sleeve. "Do you ever get tired of it?" you asked softly, the question almost shy. "The spotlight, I mean. All the expectations."
Felix paused for a moment, his gaze shifting to the popcorn bowl in his lap. He had never really opened up about the pressure of being an idol before, but there was something about being with you that made him feel like it was okay to let his guard down.
"Sometimes, yeah," he admitted quietly. "It's not always easy. There's always someone watching, always someone expecting me to be something... something bigger than who I really am."
You lifted your head to look at him, your thumb brushing gently over his hand. "But you're already more than enough just as you are, Felix. You don't have to be anyone else."
Felix looked at you, his expression softening. There was a tenderness in his eyes that spoke volumes. You could see it in the way he looked at you, as if you were his little piece of calm in a world that never stopped moving.
"Thank you," he whispered, his voice quiet but filled with sincerity. He leaned over, his forehead resting against yours. "I think... I think I needed to hear that more than you know."
The words hung in the air for a moment, and then, as if on instinct, Felix closed the distance between you, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. His lips lingered there, and for a moment, it felt like time had stopped—like the world outside didn't matter anymore. It was just the two of you, wrapped in this quiet, perfect moment.
You smiled against his skin, your heart warming at the gesture. "You don't ever have to feel like you're not enough, Felix. I'm always here. Just... you."
He pulled back slightly, his hand cupping your cheek as he gazed into your eyes. The tiredness had faded from his face, replaced with the softness that came only when he was truly at ease.
"I don't think I've ever felt more at home than I do right now," he said quietly.
The words made your heart flutter, and you couldn't help but smile, reaching up to gently kiss his cheek. "I'm glad. You deserve to feel this way more often."
Felix gave a small laugh, a sparkle in his eyes. "Maybe we can make this our routine," he suggested, his voice light, teasing. "You, me, and a little peace and quiet."
You laughed softly, leaning back into his side. "I'd like that."
The two of you sat together, the world outside fading into the background as the soft glow of the evening settled around you. No pressures, no expectations—just you and Felix, finding comfort in the simplicity of being together. And for the first time in a long time, Felix felt like everything was exactly where it should be.
