The soft hum of the evening breeze carried the faint scent of flowers as you walked side by side with Jeongin, both of you heading toward the quaint café where your first date would take place. The streetlights cast a warm, golden glow, making everything feel serene and magical. But despite the peaceful atmosphere, Jeongin couldn't help but fidget beside you.

His hands kept adjusting the collar of his jacket, his shoes tapping nervously against the pavement. You had never seen him quite like this before—he was usually so calm, confident, and composed. But tonight? Tonight was different.

"Are you okay?" you asked, casting a glance at him, noticing the small beads of sweat on his forehead.

Jeongin looked at you, his cheeks instantly flushing a deep shade of pink. "Y-yeah, I'm fine," he stammered, his voice almost a whisper. "I just... want everything to be perfect. I don't want to mess this up."

You couldn't help but smile at his sincerity. It was endearing, the way he cared so much about making the evening special for both of you. It was also incredibly cute how nervous he was.

"You're not going to mess anything up, Jeongin," you reassured him, gently nudging his shoulder. "Just relax, okay? We're here to enjoy ourselves."

He gave you a shy smile, but it was clear that his nerves hadn't settled. "I just... I don't know," he muttered. "What if I say something awkward? Or spill my drink on you? Or—"

"Hey," you interrupted with a soft laugh, reaching for his hand. He flinched slightly at the sudden contact but relaxed when you gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "You don't have to worry about any of that. I'm just happy to be here with you. We're both just going to have a good time, alright?"

Jeongin's eyes softened, and you could see the relief in his expression as he squeezed your hand back, this time more confidently. "You really mean that?"

"Of course," you said, giving him a warm smile. "I've been looking forward to this date just as much as you have."

He took a deep breath, nodding. "Okay. I'll try not to be so nervous."

When you arrived at the café, the warm glow of the interior seemed to invite you both in. The place was cozy and intimate, with soft music playing in the background and the faint scent of coffee in the air. You could see that Jeongin's nerves were still there, but they seemed to be slightly easing as you both settled into a booth by the window.

The waiter came over to take your order, and Jeongin stammered through his drink choice, his voice barely audible. You couldn't help but smile, trying to hide your amusement behind a sip of your own drink.

"Don't worry," you teased softly after the waiter walked away, "I'm sure they won't judge you for ordering a vanilla latte."

Jeongin's face went pink again, and he groaned, burying his face in his hands. "I'm so embarrassing," he mumbled.

You laughed softly, reaching across the table to gently tap his hand. "You're not embarrassing. You're just nervous because you care. And I think that's really sweet."

He looked up at you, his wide eyes filled with vulnerability. "I really like you," he confessed quietly, his voice almost a whisper. "And I just want to make sure you have a good time tonight. You deserve it."

Your heart melted at his sincerity, and you couldn't help but feel more drawn to him in that moment. There was something incredibly endearing about how he wore his heart on his sleeve, how open and genuine he was.

"I'm already having a great time," you said, giving him a soft smile. "Just being here with you makes it special."

Jeongin's eyes softened, and for a moment, he looked like he was fighting back a smile, clearly touched by your words. His fingers brushed over yours, and the small, gentle contact made your heart flutter.

"Well, if you're having a good time, then I'm happy," he said, his voice filled with quiet happiness. "I really am."

The evening unfolded with laughter, light conversation, and shared glances. As Jeongin relaxed into the rhythm of the date, you couldn't help but notice how much more comfortable he became, his usual shyness turning into a sweet, playful side that made your heart swell. He cracked jokes, made you laugh, and even stole a few shy glances when he thought you weren't looking.

By the end of the evening, Jeongin was still a little nervous, but there was a different energy in the air—one of happiness and connection. As you both stepped outside into the cool night air, he turned to you, looking down at his shoes.

"So," he began, hesitating for just a moment before looking up at you with a soft, warm smile. "I... really enjoyed tonight. Would you want to do this again sometime?"

You couldn't contain your smile as you reached for his hand again. "I'd love to."

Jeongin's face lit up, and his nerves seemed to completely melt away in that moment. "Really?"

"Really," you said with a gentle nod. "You've got nothing to worry about, Jeongin. Just be yourself, and that's more than enough for me."

His expression softened, and he gave you a shy, almost embarrassed smile. "I think I'm falling for you," he admitted softly, looking up at you through his lashes.

Your heart fluttered, and you leaned in just a little, your voice a whisper as you answered, "I think I'm falling for you, too."

And just like that, all of Jeongin's nerves, all of his uncertainty, melted away. You could see it in his eyes—the same feelings reflected back at you—and it made your heart swell with happiness.

The night had been filled with awkwardness, sweet moments, and laughter, but in the end, it was everything you both needed. And it was only the beginning.
