Man, he hasn't seen his best friend in years, but the bromance is clearly still alive.
The front door swings open, and akaashi's mom, Miyako, if you remember correctly, stands there with a bright smile. She rushes forward with a laugh, pulling your parents into warm hugs, practically squealing with excitement. Then her eyes land on you, and her jaw actually drops.
"Y/N? Is this really you?" She blinks, taking in your confident smile and, well, all the glow-up you're sporting now.
You flash her a grin. "In the flesh, Mrs. akaashi's. And can I just say, this house is amazing." You take a moment to admire the place, imagining all the Instagram-worthy spots for bikini photos.
"Please, call me Miyako!" she says, waving you inside. She practically skips ahead, calling out for her husband.
When Akaashi's dad, Hiroshi, appears, he and your dad do that epic handshake-hug combo that only best friends pull off, laughing like kids again. Hiroshi's gaze shifts to you, and he does a double-take, looking like he's trying to process how the kid he last saw in pigtails somehow turned into...well, this.
