Brookhaven, New York
Niya POV"Alright, do you have everything packed? We still have to go to school in the morning," I said, glancing at Dezmon as he rummaged through his backpack.
"Yeah, I think I've got everything," he replied, pulling out a couple of shirts and a pair of jeans. "But I also got something planned for you tomorrow afternoon." His voice held a hint of excitement that made my curiosity spike.
"Oh really?" I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What do you have up your sleeve?"
Dezmon leaned against the wall, a playful smirk on his face. "I can't give away all the details just yet. But let's just say it involves some of my favorite spots around town and maybe a little adventure."
"Adventure?" I echoed, my heart racing at the thought. "Now you've got me really curious! Are we going hiking or something?"
"Not quite hiking," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "But it's definitely something outdoorsy. Trust me, you'll love it. Just be ready for some fun!"
I couldn't help but grin at his enthusiasm. "Okay, you're killing me here! You know how much I love surprises. Just promise me it's not something too crazy."
Dezmon laughed, shaking his head. "I promise! It'll be fun but nothing too wild. Just a chance for us to hang out and enjoy the day together."
I felt a warmth spread through me at the thought of spending more time with him. The idea of exploring new places together felt exhilarating, especially after everything we had been through lately. "Alright, I'm in! Just tell me what to wear so I can be prepared."
"Something comfortable," he suggested, his tone light and teasing. "Maybe those cute sneakers you like? We'll be doing a bit of walking."
"Got it!" I replied, already imagining the outfit I'd wear. "And what about food? Are we stopping somewhere?"
"Definitely! I've got a couple of places in mind," he said confidently. "You'll get to try some local favorites. And maybe we can grab dessert afterward."
"Now you're speaking my language!" I exclaimed, feeling my excitement grow even more.
As we continued packing and chatting about our plans, I couldn't shake the feeling that this weekend was going to be special—an opportunity for us to bond and create memories that would last long after school was over.
Once we finished packing .We got into the car , headed to my house .Once we got there we unpacked, and then we settled on the couch to watch a movie together before calling it a night. As the credits rolled, I turned to Dezmon, feeling grateful for his presence in my life. "Thanks for being such a good friend," I said softly.
He looked at me with sincerity in his eyes. "I'm really glad we're doing this together. It feels like we're finally getting a chance to know each other beyond just school and work."
"Exactly," I replied, my heart swelling with warmth. "I can't wait for tomorrow."
With that shared anticipation hanging in the air between us, I felt like this weekend was just the beginning of something exciting—a chance to explore not only our friendship but also the depths of who we are as individuals
