The sun peeked through the curtains of the shared flat, casting a soft glow over the living room. Y/N was curled up on the couch, still in her pajamas, having fallen asleep there the previous night after another late movie marathon with the boys.

The flat was unusually quiet this morning — a rare occurrence given the usual hustle and bustle of having six people under one roof.

Just as she was starting to doze off again, Y/N's phone buzzed on the coffee table. Groaning, she stretched out an arm to grab it. The screen lit up with a message from Harry:
Good morning, lazybones! Let's make the most of our day off together. I'm waiting for you in the kitchen. - H

A smile tugged at her lips. Harry had a way of always bringing a bit of sunshine to her mornings. Reluctantly, she pulled herself off the couch and trudged down the hallway to the kitchen.

When she walked in, she found Harry standing by the counter, whipping up a batch of pancakes. He turned at the sound of her footsteps, a grin spreading across his face. "There she is! I was beginning to think you'd never get up."

Y/N rolled her eyes, stifling a yawn. "Harry, it's barely ten. That's practically dawn for us."

He chuckled, flipping a pancake with a flourish. "Well, we've got the whole day to ourselves, so I thought we'd make the most of it." He gestured to the table, where he had already set out fresh fruit, coffee, and juice.

"Thought we could start with breakfast before the rest of the guys wake up and raid the kitchen."

Y/N slid into one of the chairs, pouring herself a cup of coffee. "Sounds perfect," she said, smiling at the effort Harry had put into their little breakfast date. It was rare for any of them to have one-on-one time with each other, given how chaotic their schedules were. Today felt like a much-needed break.

As they ate, they chatted about everything from their favorite shows to funny fan interactions. Harry had a way of making her laugh like no one else. She appreciated that about him — he always knew how to lighten the mood, even when things got tough.

"Alright," Harry said, after finishing the last bite of his pancake. "What do you say we escape the flat for a bit? Go out and do something fun?"

Y/N glanced at the kitchen door, half expecting the other boys to burst in at any moment. "If we leave now, we might just get away before they rope us into some chaotic plan."

Harry wiggled his eyebrows. "Exactly. Let's go before they realize we're gone."

---

The two of them managed to sneak out of the flat without being noticed, stepping into the crisp autumn air. Y/N zipped up her jacket as they strolled down the busy London streets, blending into the crowd. It was a rare treat for them to be out in public without a swarm of fans, and they were determined to enjoy it.

After grabbing coffee from a small café, they made their way to Hyde Park. The trees were painted in shades of orange and red, and Harry couldn't resist picking up a leaf to examine it. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" he said, holding it up to the light.

"Yeah," Y/N agreed. "It's nice to actually take a moment to appreciate it for once. Usually, we're too busy rushing from one place to another."

Harry nodded, his eyes crinkling in that familiar way when he smiled. "That's why I wanted today to just be... us. No cameras, no managers. Just Harry and Y/N."

Y/N bumped his shoulder playfully. "You really are a softie, Styles."

"I have my moments," he said, laughing. "Come on, let's get some ice cream. I know a place around here that's still open, even in the middle of autumn."

They wandered around the park, licking their ice cream cones and people-watching. At one point, Harry insisted on stopping to pet every dog they passed, much to Y/N's amusement. They were just finishing their cones when Y/N's phone buzzed with a message from Liam:
Where are you two? You're missing out on a killer FIFA match.

Y/N showed Harry the message, and they both burst out laughing. "Should we tell them where we are?" Y/N asked.

"Nah," Harry said with a mischievous grin. "Let them wonder. We deserve this day off."

---

By late afternoon, they decided to head back to the flat. When they walked in, they were immediately greeted by Niall's voice from the living room. "There you two are! We thought you got lost or something."

"Yeah, or worse," Louis added, poking his head out from the kitchen, "we thought you two had abandoned us for some romantic getaway."

Y/N rolled her eyes. "Please, like I'd run away with Harry and leave you all behind. You'd miss me too much, Louis."

Louis feigned a dramatic gasp. "You wound me, Y/N."

Zayn, who had been quietly observing from the couch, smirked. "How about you guys stop hogging each other and let the rest of us have some Y/N time, huh?"

Harry threw an arm around Y/N's shoulders. "Sorry, lads, she's mine for today. You'll have to schedule your Y/N time another day."

The atmosphere was warm and filled with laughter as they all gathered in the living room. Y/N loved these moments — the rare times when they could just be a normal group of friends hanging out rather than the famous members of One Direction.

Later that night, the boys convinced Y/N and Harry to join them in a game of FIFA. It quickly devolved into chaos, with Louis shouting at the screen, Niall trying to cheat, and Liam attempting to play peacemaker. Harry and Y/N, as a team, ended up winning the match, much to Louis's frustration. Zayn went to make a smoothie for everyone.

"That's it, you two are banned from being on the same team ever again," Louis grumbled, though his smile gave him away.

Y/N laughed, leaning back into the couch cushions. "What can we say, Lou? We're a natural." The eldest pretended to be angry, huffing as he plopped down the couch. Harry's arm was draped casually over her shoulders, and she could feel the warmth of his laughter vibrating through him. It was moments like this that made all the stress worth it — just a group of friends, a family of sorts, sharing a life that was far from ordinary.

As the night wound down, Y/N found herself dozing off, her head resting on Harry's shoulder. He glanced down at her and smiled softly, adjusting the blanket over her.

"Get some sleep, love" he whispered. "I'll wake you if you start drooling."

She managed a tired chuckle, her eyes already closing. "Thanks, Harry. Today was perfect."

Harry watched her for a moment longer, his expression softening. "Anytime, love. Anytime."
