If I were you,
Then maybe my dreams of being with you Would come true.
If I were you,
I would love myself the way I want you to.
If I were you,
The stars would shine, and my heart Would keep me safe within you.
If I were you,
Your worries would be mine, And I would feel your pain As deeply as you do.
If I were you,
I would be hard toward others And soft with you
If I were you,
I would talk to you until midnight, And wake you with a smile And bright light.
