It had been a week since Emery had been turned into a vampire after the inversion and she was still trying to grasp onto her new life so far certain people in the clan weren't making it easy on her but there was one person keeping her from losing it and that was the man who made her into this but saved her life in the process, Vincent Solaire who constantly reassured her that she was doing well and it was going to take time to fully heal from her accident. One day she was sitting at her vanity mirror getting ready for the day when she caught a glimpse of her new facial features, her eyes were now a lighter brown with small flecks of crimson, her fangs were smaller than her boyfriends and her cheeks were slightly more refined than before while she didn't mind the changes she remembered something vincent said to her when she was still human

"you have beautiful eyes you know that... there's a spark in them... there always has been since that first night we met"

Those words ran through her head making the new vampire smile and temporarily stopped her negative thoughts but that bliss didn't last long as another thought replaced his words "what if... what if he doesn't love my eyes... that spark he saw has faded.." she said to herself tears beginning to well up in her eyes placing her makeup brush down quietly crying so no one would hear her but she panicked when she heard the front door of her and Vincent's house open "Lovely I'm home" he said as she quickly collected herself wiping her tears away with a tissue and continued to get ready "h-hey V welcome home" she greeted as he walked into their room and saw she was starting to do her makeup "sorry that clan meeting took so long WillIam and Charlotte needed to discuss what happened at the games plus Alexis showed up late as usual so that delayed the meeting but I shouldn't be surprised at this point" he said the mention of alexis made Emery cringe since she was the main reason why she wasn't getting used to her new life "well that's Alexis you and I both know how much of a bitch she is especially to me and Sam" she said Vincent then noticed a slight change in his girlfriend's tone normally she'd be a lot more compassionate even toward the people she can't stand but she seemed off right now and he could tell "sorry if this is invasive Em but is everything ok? You seem a little distant again if I'm pushing too hard you can tell me" he said making her sigh then put on a fake smile to cover her true feelings "I'm fine V I'm just tired is all it's been a wild few days" she said not remembering that because he was her maker she couldn't lie to him so he immediately knew she wasn't ok "Emery" he grabbed her hands reassuringly "you can be honest with me we've been through hell and back these last two years plus I can tell you've been crying" he said his words melting her instantly as she allowed more tears to fall and he pulled her into a hug "whatever it is you can tell me lovely you know I'm here for you always" he said rubbing her back "I know... I know I just I don't want you to think that I'm not grateful for this life you gave me because believe me I am extremely grateful for it but there's just this one thing that's been on my mind since the night you turned me a question more like but it's stupid" she said as he pulled away and cupped her cheek "if it's been weighing on you this badly, it must be important so you ask it I won't judge you Em" he said as she sighed "...what do you think of my eyes?" She asked he wiped her tears not completely understanding her question "what do you mean?" He asked "well ever since we met you've loved my eyes always telling me how beautiful they were and how you saw a spark in them the night we found out about my powers explained it because I was an electro energetic but now that I lost them and am a vampire now... I feel like that any bit of my old self is gone because of it so I was worried that you don't love my eyes anymore" she said as he knelt to her level since she had been sitting at her vanity
"Emery listen to me... no matter what happens to you I'll love every single inch of your body and mind good or bad there's nothing that can stop how I feel for you. I understand your worry about the physical change of your turning because I felt the same when I was a newblood it was difficult to grasp on to this life but I need you to know that I still love every part of you and when I look into your eyes" he gently places his thumb and index finger under her chin with a warm smile "I see the woman who I fell in love with, a healthy skeptic with a big heart and most importantly the loveliest girl I've ever met who doesn't judge anyone and sees the positive in most situations and as for the spark I've seen" he pulls her face close to his and kissed her lips "even after you've turned... that spark is still there and it'll never fade" he said making her smile her eyes filled with tears of joy hugging him tightly "thank you... thank you Vincent I needed to hear that" she said "of course lovely I love you and just like I told you the night I turned you... we have forever now" he said making her heart happy "till forever falls apart v" she said hugging him for a bit longer just glad that she had him in her life.
